Iowa's legal sports betting handle hit $38.5 million with net revenue of over $4.9 million in September, according to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC). September was the first full month of legal sports betting in Iowa with more than half of the wagers coming via mobile apps.

Indiana registered one of the most successful opening month handles since PASPA was struck down in May 2018. According to the Indiana Gaming Commission, sports bettors in Indiana wagered more than $35 million in September, which was the first month of legal sports betting.
