because the guy has heart and isn't a quitter

but seriously i think it is probably a combination of the fact he retired here last year and he is playing a mate

Probably doesn't help much, but I thought you did the right thing with the change at the time.

oof. yeah, that was tough to watch. it almost looked like he was on a comeback at one point during the 1st set even while limping... gosh. had to turn it off half way. yep, consensus here is he should have retired after 1st. sorry dude.

wat it came down to is i got extremely unlucky
there is not doubt in my mind he woulda a least took a set before he got hurt
the only solace i can take is that i didnt go all in
my only regret is that i didnt take ferrer earlier when he was still a big dog on the live lines

i gotta see the positive side and that is im actually still up for the tourney
but its a tough pill to swallow a 4k loss of basically all my winnings, due to an injury

Extremely unlucky ... but this is why laying huge chalk in tennis of all sports is really not a great idea IMO. I can see getting away with it during Slams for the most part, but hopefully any novices we have here at SBR know that it's not a wise thing to do over the course of a full season. Easy way to get buried with a fix or an injury or just a bad pick. Can kill weeks of quality picks with one pick.

I'm not slamming your experiment here either, you've made money. I just want to point this out for our other forum readers as something to think about if they play tennis post-Grand Slams. Especially outside of Slams, big chalk in tennis fails to produce quite a bit if you don't study match-ups and even then, stuff like Nadal's injury can happen.

i only do this for grand slam events. that is the only time i will bet tennis this big.
if this was a regular event, rafa would have retired.
but it is wat it is

the only parlay I've done the last few days was Ferrer/Wozniacki yesterday.

I was feeling pretty good about it, and then the comeback
