    List of fixers

It will be useful to have a list of players that are known to fix matches so that we can avoid them. So here is the list only from this week:

    1. DOLGOPOLOV
    2. Przysiezny
    3. Starace
    4. Volandri
    5. Gabashvili
    6. Tursunov
    7. Chrisophe Rochus
    8. Hanescu
    9. Davydenko
    10. Tipsarevic
    11. Koellerer

    Dolgopolov

    Christophe Rochus

I'm sure I'll think of more in a few minutes. Great idea Noober!!!

how could i forget the master of tennis fixing: DOLGOPOLOV

As for Chardy, I am not really sure whether he is fixing or tanking.

Yeah, you're right about Chardy. After looking at some of the odds in his matches, he's just a bloody tanker. Maybe we need a list of those too?

I'd exclude Chardy, don't think that was a fix.

You missed Llodra and Chela, who are top4 :-)

    My list:

Hernandez, Koellerer (0-2 and hcap), Andreev, Vassalo, Przysizeny, Llodra, Kim, Volandri, Starace, Hanescu, Odesnik, C.Rochus, schukin, Tursunov, Brands, Crivoi, Istomin, Dodig, Veic, Chela (inplay), Gabashvili, Dolgopolov, Riba?, Ram?, Petzschner?

Not totally sure of the last 3, but quite a few signs.

Istomin and Brands seem also to have stopped as their careers have progressed.

Oh, and Tipsarevic, after last week.

He's probably in the "only occasionally" bracket though. The main repeat offenders are Llodra, Koellerer, Chela, Dolgo, Volandri and Chris Rochus.

I don't think Riba fixes, Riba is just awful on any surface but clay.

Check the market movements before the Hajek match this week, and with Lorenzi in Queens.

Definetly Gabashvili, you just need to watch his game in AO 2007 against Dlouhy. He lost first two sets easily, won next 2 7-6 in tb and lost 16-14 in 5th set.

That shit took aprox. 3-5 years of my life

I've watched him plenty, seen every single televised match.

A fix looks like Hajek-Riba, where one side drops to nothing prematch. Or Tursunov vs Przyiesny, where Przy wins the first set and his odds increase to +1400. Never seen anything like this with Chardy

Just because a player is losing a lot, and badly, doesn't mean he's fixing. In Chardy's case, he had a nasty viral infection in his lungs around the new year, taken him a long while to recover. People who don't do their research then get shocked when he loses a lot, but it's not exactly secret info.

Don't know anything about Queens, but I think there is often a lot of line movement on favorites on days with very little to bet on ... this week that sufficed for Hajek vs. Riba. Riba was coming into this after withdrawing from his last tourney with an abdominal injury and had played on clay only since August. All it would take is for someone to bring up such info on a tennis betting site and anyone who follows those sites would pound the favorite. Hard sometimes IMO to get handles on "fixers" ... there are obvious ones and not so obvious ones.

I have been suspicious of Tomas Berdych lately. Am I off here. Could he just be going thru a rough patch? Insight please.

That's true, but this was off the charts. Hajek dropped to something like -1200prematch! Hajek was hardly in form himself, was murdered 62 60 the previous week by Kamke.

In Queens Lorenzi dropped from +130 to -250 prematch, and every book then pulled the market. Books have agreements to share info, so when dodgy stuff goes you see all the books simultaneously pulling the market - with TursunovPrzysienzznzhzzyzzyzyz this was insanely fast, looks like every book was expecting it. You saw the line disappear within minutes everywhere :-)

I think he likely was injured this week though, probably that's a source of a lot of fixes. Player can't hope to do anything that week, so just sells the correctscore/handicap/under/everything. When the price collapses like this, one thing you don't ever see is the player retiring - that voids the handicap and correctscore :-)
