    Excellence - Stockholm / Moscow - 18/10/2010 Picks

Game: Andreas Seppi vs Stanislas Wawrinka
    Pick: Stanislas Wawrinka 2:0, 1,70 on 188bet

The Fifth Head-to-series of this tournament, will face Stanislas Wawrinka for the 6th time the Italian Andreas Seppi, and in face-to-face leads 3-2. The Swiss currently takes three consecutive victories over Italian (all in 2009), curiously or not at all Hard Court and did not give any one in September

Wawrinka return to competition after a second-round elimination at the front of the Shanghai Masters Rafael Nadal, this having been virtually no competition since the U.S. Open. With a record of 31 wins and 15 losses this season, managed to ascend to break the Top 20, currently ranked 21 ATP Ranking.

On the other hand we have the Italian Andreas Seppi of 26 years and currently 58 of the World. Take this season a modest record 21 victories and 24 defeats. Recently there has been quite comfortable in Hard Court having failed to reach the second round in Tokyo is the third in Shanghai, where he would face losing finalist Roger Federer, that in Shanghai.

Conclusion: The way I see things Wawrinka appeared in Shanghai in a more competitive pace of recovering and also inject some morality. As for me got what he wanted, he won one in great shape and Gilles Simon still has some fight against Rafael Nadal. As for Seppi despite having won the Cilic for example last week that to me does not make me rethink about the final outcome of this game. This is clear as water, Wawrinka against Seppi in Hardcourt have a full, seven sets won and lost 0, Seppi is a player who prefers clay and that he possessed a mediocre record of 51-75 in games played in Hardcourt and 23-36 in Indoor Games ... I think the number that will translate well to the game and joining a Wawrinka that I believe will present themselves very well today, just got the win in two sets to hand Wawrinka as the only possible scenario of this game.

Game: Jarkko Nieminen vs Michael Berrer
Pick: Jarkko Nieminen ML, 1,60 on Interwetten

Jarkko Nieminen and Michael Berrer will face is only the second time in their careers in the game's opening round of the tournament in Stockholm. The only match played between them was in 2009, the tournament's final Indoor Salzburg. Berrer prevailed with the 7-6 4-6 4-6.

Jarkko Nieminen currently occupies the 46th rank in the hierarchy of world tennis. With a record of 23 wins and losses this season, the Finn has appeared in very good form in recent weeks. It was quarter-final in Metz, Beaten finalist in Bangkok and Tokyo after winning the second round Gimeno Traver chose not to align the next game in order to recover from fatigue that some even gave him some physical problems. In order to make a full preparation preferred not to align at the Shanghai Masters last week. This tournament Swedish brings you good memories as it managed to be at least quarter-final on five occasions.

On the other side is the German Michael Berrer 30. Currently in 50th position in the Ranking ATP and with a modest record of 17 wins and 23 losses at ATP this season, the German is presented here after being knocked out in opening round of the tournament in Shanghai, this forward Sam Querrey . Over the past five tournaments held by Berrer, this was eliminated in the opening round on 3 occasions and eliminated in 2nd round in the other occasions.

Conclusion: I believe that we have a reborn Jarkko Nieminen, you surely have done wonders for the week of rest. A player that has as its strong point the fact that it is almost an expert on indoor. On the other hand is a player who has little or nothing to do, accumulates behind poor results and poor results in my opinion will be an easy prey for the Finn.

Game: Dmitry Tursunov vs Viktor Troicki
Pick: Viktor Troicki ML, 1,60 on Pinnacle

Troicki and Tursunov will face is only the second time in their careers in this game of the opening round of the Kremlin Cup The only match played between them was in 2008 in the David Cup game to Troicki prevailed with 7-6 4-6 and 6-3.

The Serbian Viktor Troicki of 24 years, is currently ranked 45th in the hierarchy and possessed a modest record of 29 wins and 28 defeats the ATP level this season. Troicki has been presented in a fairly acceptable, the first the thing a month and a half forced his compatriot Novak Djokovic to a 5th set in the opening round of the U.S. Open, followed up the tournament in Bangkok where he was eliminated in the second round front a specialist Indoor Jarkko Nieminen. Most recently was a semi finalist in Tokyo where he just fell to Rafael Nadal, whilst the Spanish forced a third set. Troicki did not participate in the tournament in Beijing this past week.

On the other hand we have the man of the house, Russian, 27 and 270 ranked ATP Ranking, well away from its 20th position achieved in 2006. This large drop is due to the large amount of injuries that the Russian has felt over the past few months, but let's see what today's game will be just his 10th at ATP this season, taking as a record of three wins and 6 defeats. After the elimination against Jurgen Melzer in the first round of U.S. Open, Tursunov walked gathering pace in many Thai Challengers tournaments, losing games against players of the 134 th, 243 th and 190 th positions of the ATP Rankings, nothing good in fact. However in Tokyo seemed to show clear improvements both physically and technically having recorded victories against Ernests Gulbis and Richard Gasquet. It was later eliminated by Champion Rafael Nadal.

Conclusion: The Serbian has to be considered the favorite for today playing at "home" of the adversary. Troicki appeared in good form in recent weeks having recorded victories and defeats even (Nadal forced a third set in Tokyo) important. Tursunov has lost most of the season through injury shows signs of improvement but still can not see it in physical and technical conditions to win the Serbian. Right now all I can see the victory of a Troicki in very good shape.

Great write-ups but I wouldn't back 3 favorites in anything in this world.
