Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this. The draw is not out yet, but she is a Home Wild Card at this tourney again. She played Carla Suarez-Navarro 1-0 in sets and had her down in the 2nd before bowing out in the 3rd. I actually watched the match and she was hitting some nice winners. If you remember she had a great US Open coming through the qualies and beating Pironkova and Hercog. Of course it all depends on the match up but taking her + games and a small money line bet I think will be worth it.
Well here we go again. Thought I would dredge up this thread since Minella is playing Keo. Now Mandy has never been able to break through at her home country tourney since she first was able to play at age 16. But she finally has her best chance to EVER to win here vs finally a good draw in playing a Qualifier. Minella is a real solid dog play at +225 or +115 at +4.5 currently. As before in this thread earlier, I have watched both the Suarez-N and Georges matches the last two years and she has played well covering both spreads. I think the the drought comes to an end on Tuesday. If you notice the tourney organizers have made it the feature match and last one of the day. Plenty of time for folks to get off work and see the #1 player in the country finally get her win. Both times I've watched in 2009 and 2010 the crowd was a major influence in how well she played to cover IMO.
Here we go again..third year in a row.I think Mandy is playing her best this year. And once again she is a dog in her home country tourney.Covered the last 3 years but not won. Playing the ultimate fruitcake in Sabine Lisicki who got upset in the first round in Linz. Never know where her head is at, but with the home crowd behind her and having her best ranking ever at 78, time to bet her at +175 right now and of course a play on the handicap. Dont usually auto bet a player, but Mandy in Lux for sure is one of those.
