Janowicz will be top ten soon

This guy has an awesome all around game. Already has one of the best serves on tour but now his groundstrokes are solid as well. Devastating forehand and his groundstrokes can hang with the best of them. He's already a force on hardcourts but now he's showing great game on clay as well. Strengthen up the mental game and I can see Jerzy hitting the top ten with a year.

Pharoah had GULBIS to be top twenty before this year's end. We've got a bet on that. I took the NO.

Gulbis still has ways to go, he has nowhere near the game of Janowicz.

Janowicz is good but not top 10 good yet. Guy was 10-9 so far this year coming into Rome.

It's pretty easy to move into the Top 30 with a couple runs at tournaments because of the small # of points accumulated by guys outside the Top 12 or so. Top 10, you have to go deep in a lot of tournaments to earn points or have a lot of guys in front of you flop and lose points.

Jano is very good. I've had my eye on him since he starting tearing up the challengers and then had a nice run at wimbledon. Top 10 ... I hope so! He is very fun to watch. I forgot about the Gulbis bet!

It will be fun to watch Gulbis's development. I hope you win the bet Pharaoh. I've got plenty of points so I don't mind losing the bet. I feel that out of the three young promising talents Dimitrov, Gulbis, and Janowicz ..... Jano has the most talent and complete game followed by Dimitrov. Surprising but people seem to forget that Dimitrov struggles on hardcourts. Janowicz will be a beast on hardcourts this year. I can see him picking up a couple of titles.

Good luck on the bet Pharaoh

Your boy Gulbis is a mental midget. High hopes from everyone but just like I predicted, no mental game to overcome the big matches. Couldnt even make it past the second round.

This is why he will not be top twenty this year.

Told you kid, Gulbis is all hype. You guys bought into all his hype and I could see it from a mile away. He can't win big matches.

Gulbis top twenty within a month??? .......Jano is the real deal son.

Haha. Well my advice was due to the fact PP were offering @ 3.25 which is a massive overprice compared to market price (and my personal estimate).

Do you mean my opinion on the probability?

Janowicz will win a slam a lot sooner than Gulbis, I'll tell you that much. Even if he never wins a slam, as long as he keeps going deep at Slams and picks up a tournament title along the way, he'll be on the way to top ten soon. Jano will win a hardcourt grand slam title or two before all said and done. With that much power and finesse to boot(the best drop shot on tour imo), it's inevitable.

I do not see Gulbis ever winning a Slam. Too mentally weak. His father is billionaire so he does not have to bust his ass to earn living on court. Jano on the other hand might have a shot.

never understood the premise of "so and so will be ranked X soon." you cant make that statement without consideration for the opposition. which top 10 players do you think he will have a better year than? from del potro, #8, and above, all the guys in the top 10 belong there. are you saying janowicz is better than gasquet or wawrinka, almagro, cilic, tipsarevic, etc? just say that then.

    Cilic and Tipsarevic? Hell yes.

Possibly some of the others as well...
