Monfils is definitely not a clown anymore. Yes he clowns around in some tournaments but not in finals, he matured mentally. Last year he went on a huge run after AO reaching finals in Sofia losing to god mode Medvedev and Winning Rotterdam a week later beating god mode Medvedev in semis and Wawrinka who played amazing in Finals. Indoor hard suits him well. And, like i said, EVEN if you exclude all that and just go by h2h, he leads 5-0 without losing a single SET.

And yes, Pospisil was lucky. Goffin was serving for match at 5-4 and getting broken twice to lose 7-5, without a single 1st serve made in those 2 games. A pure choke by Goffin.
