    Djokovic also played a length match against Shapovalov. The bigger concern was Nadal struggling earlier against De Minaur. He's owned him in Australia last year but now couldn't?

    At first I had a weird feeling Nadal could steal another Australian Open here with the notion that Djokovic would penetrate up earlier against a Next Gen or Stan but he's (Nadal) looked vulnerable this tournament.

    This possible win would shorten Djokovic's outright odds perhaps.

    Nadal just never has an answer to Djokovic's kick serve. It's the ultimate mismatch in their games with the length he gets on it and Nadal's poor reach from his back hand. Of course only has to use it sparingly but it's one thing that got their h2h closer since 2011.
