Hyeon Chung to beat Novak Djokovic

    Hello to everyone.
I've been following the Aussie Open for quite a while and let's get to the bottom line - Djokovic is going to face a very tough opponent today.

They met only once in 2016 where the odds were 27.25 on Chung to win (and 1.01 on Djokovic) - source:
    https://matchstat.com/tennis/h2h-odd.../Hyeon%20Chung

Today the game has changed and we have Djokovic with 1.25 and Chung with 4.00 - this is not a by all means, the odds clearly speak to you and tell you Djokovic is not at his best.

Taking into consideration his injuries and the fact he played extremely fit so far doesn't mean he would do the same against Chung who by all means is undervalued here.
Lastly, they are all human beings, you usually eat a watermelon in the summer and not in the winter because it is ripe and ready in the summer, Djokovic is not "ripe" in my opinion, and the previous matches he won are only symbolic but I do expect a big surprise here (which is not so big in terms of the odds being offered).

    My bet:
    fff

Funny though, that Fed, Thiem & Djoko had simpler draws in the 4th round and yet struggling... Verdict will be out after Nadal plays Cilic tomorrow.

5-3 now in the 1st, the way the bookies drop the odds on Djokovic wow ... looks like they are desperately trying to attract so many bets on the Djoker who looks terrible so far.

Chung's serve is nothing to fear. Djoker has 6 double faults.

Nevermind. Djoker fukked, can't even get a serve in. His elbow is still injured. This may be a 4 or 5 setter.

Never count your chickens in sports, same applies to Thiem vs Sandgren, Sandgren has extremely powerful serves, reminds me a bit of Andy Roddick but I think he is too novice to all this, hard for me to imagine him beating the 5th set pressure now.

Back to Djokovic-Chung - you can say it was just a "slip" and the Djoker lost only 1 set (the odds on the Djoker are 1.57 which is not bad considering it's twice the price of the initial odds offered). All I know is that Chung is hard to beat, whenever you think he's down he would come back to life and beat you like a lion, he's such a good Tennis player that I am puzzled how he is so undervalued here.

This should be a 1.90 - 1.90 odds if you ask me.

odds would be equal if Djoker was playing a top 10ish player. As good as Chung is, he's nowhere near the Djoker's level & is being aided by Djoko's injury. Sure the Korean might win, but will still take an inhuman amount of mental strength

The stilted serve action he has been using all tourney is just average to terrible.

His elbow hurting when making ground shots, instead of only when serving, is new this match though, so might be terminal.

A retirement would be good. I'm assuming medical timeout first to see if he can still win this! Have seen this tactic employed by top 3 countless of times, disarming the opponent &then they pounce.

Damn devil ball. Wish they would put the Thiem match on ESPN. Djoker isn't even running to hit shots now.

Odds of 1.40 on Thiem, 3-2 in the 5th set ... looks like a good bet but gosh, it's tons of pressure, still I think it's a good bet, the pressure is going to mount and mount and Thiem seems more confident, it would take 2-3 bad serves from Sandgren and he would begone ... the last few misses from Thiem shows how he desperately wants to break him in the next game.

Odds on Djokovic now 3.00 - might edge a bit here even though I have no faith in Djokovic at all.

Thiem match with no breaker seems like it could go a while. Mental edge to Thiem, but would be nice to see the American go through since he could beat Chung.

Going to throw $10 on Thiem breaking back (winning the 9th game in the 5th set) ... at this price, it's worth the shot and it's like betting on him to win the match itself. Good luck!
