    Many thanks for this thread.
Something might be going wrong with him - health, personal issues or both.

He is just a shameful world No.1, no class at all. I wish Nadal can take over his spot as soon as possible

I honestly thought he lost to Zverev in AO on purpose just to avoid losing to Fed being a gutless prick he is.
Since becoming No. 1, he seems to have lost focus.

I think that Murray's last year run mislead a lot of people. He basically swept the season after the French Open, so it seemed that he was peaking and starting an era of dominance.
But I think Djokovic loss of form after Roland Garros and Nadal/Fed injuries played a really big part on it. Murray played great, beat a lot of top 10 people, but he didn't have to face any of the big 4 until the WTF finals (beat Djokovic). He won Wimbledon against Raonic, come on. And still, he didn't even make the US Open final (lost to Nishikori in the QF) and he lost a Master 1000 tournament to Cilic. So even in the best form of his life, he wasn't near as dominating as Djokovic was in 2011/2015.
No doubt that this year he's really struggling, probably because of loss of focus and his body starting to feel the advancing age. But I think his fall seems worst than it really is.

No. He is just below marginal on CLAY. These guys excel on this. Slower surface where power is not that important. On grass or hard they would have no shot!

Fognini dedicated his win to his wife Flavia Pennetta, who will give birth to their first child in the next few days.

you see, it's always about the women.

Don't think he lost on purpose. He's going through a rough patch in his career.
