ATP Stuttgart Del Potro v Dimitri. Del Potro ML -110

Del Potro's wrist injury seems to have healed enough where he plans on playing a full season on grass.

Guy is seeing the ball well after beating Thiem at Madrid before pulling out of the French for further rehab...

Make no mistake though, Dimitrov is no pushover but I hope Del Potro has too many guns in this encounter.

1st serve in a little over an hour.

Good luck guys. Who's with me?

I looked at this match and chose to stay away.

I would never ever back any player with the association or relation or anything that can be linked or be referred to the word 'injury', never ever ever.

I cannot back Del Potro in this match, I know Dimitrov was not in a great form on clay, but he knows Del Potro's status and that can push him to play better.

I personally would stay away, if I had to bet I would pick Dimitrov.

He's right though... especially with the changes in rules where if one set is done, all bets count.

Regardless though - do you really want to be putting money on guys who aren't at their best? Hard to tell until he's had a few matches. It worked this time, but from experience it doesn't always work out so well. Lack of match practise also sometimes hurts.

No, but if you take a shot like that...there are options. Just sayin'.

and what neener's just-sayin' is correct...cuz it's not really a case of changes within given books...so much as it is a variation in policy across books...

the variations (one-ball, one-set, 2-set, match-completed) and what books apply them is summarized here

    http://www.bettingontennis.net/tenni...les-explained/

still, at whatever books you place your tennis wagers at (and it should be more than one--so you have choice price-wise AND rule-wise...eg. when i want to bet against Serena, i want a 1-ball or at most 1-set-for-action to benefit from a face-saving retirement from the drama queen)...

wherever you shop for your tenny-tikkies you should locate/study and know the effect of retirement when you submit (eg. if you have a big ML position at 5d or pinny...and you think you are hedging it live at bet365...think again)

    Baby Fed

Indeed, Dimitrov's game this year is similar with Federer's when he was a baby

    Cheers Sando...

Placed a future bet of +5000 on Del Potro to take out Wimbledon this year.

Not saying he wins but if he stays healthy then I think he has a legitimate shot at going deep into the 2nd week here...

You are on fire of late.. I stayed off of this one only because I usually don't bet the first couple days of tourneys after a major. Never know where their heads are. This was a great call though

Plus it sounds like you'll have plenty of wiggle room to hedge when/if he makes about round 4. Green book for you!

At his best I would say Delpo has the single handed forehand in the game.
