    AusOpen 1/24 huge value play

    Gents, huge value play tonight, 11:30pm
    Johanna Konta +150. No stats or write up, just see an incorrect line. Konta has been blowing by opponents and line makers still have not caught up. Already beat Makarova in their only previous match earlier this year

    No this is a wager on a person who hasnt seen makarova play, besides Serena and vika haven't seen anyone play better malaria wins comfortably

    It's a value play and yes I have seen her play. Huge vika fan as well. Konta is a great value here

    You have to remember this is makarovas best and favorite tournament I'm taking her today and if she win, I'll take her again over keys, keys will do low percentage shots and stupid shit against a good quality consistent player

    Form trumps h2h. Not saying she won't win but she was in better form than Makarova then, I think its a good play though.

    Basing your play on one h2h match and a few wins over fairly weak opponents is not a good idea. Venus looked like a grandma in that match vs Konta and then Konta beat two average and inexperienced players.

    This is an uncharted territory for Konta, while Makarova has been there and Makarova is defending big points in this spot. I am rooting for a competitive match, but declaring that Konta is a huge value play is a bit premature. The line did move to +135, but maybe there are just a lot of folks who think like you.

    Yeah she should be getting better odds against a top ten player. Macky been choking a bit before this tourney though, still Konta should be at juicier odds.

    Makarova is #24. Injuries have been a problem for her. But she loves Aus Open and she has a lot of points to defend here. Konta has been pretty steady though. Should be a good match, but my point was that the h2h and previous wins for Konta are not really that important. I am liking Konta's chances more on the fact she has also made the 4th round @US Open and overall she has been looking good out there since last Summer. But Makarova has been to GS semis twice, including last year.

    Oops my bad, she was top ten a while back wasnt she? I dont think its a bad bet, I saw Konta break through a bit last year, she seemed to get over the mental edge that holds players back from getting close to beating top 10-20 players to actually beating them, has a shot, I wonder how many of those players she was beating were lefty, havent seen Makarova this tourney yet, last I saw her she didnt look that good, but she wasnt in form.
