Interesting how players have motivations besides winning the match, and they can help each other out,
But I think we expected shenanigans and haven't seen any.

You mean Safarova potentially helping Kvitova ? Who knows. I have no idea how this will play out tonight. Although, MGT's pick looks pretty logical, but then again Kvitova has always been an erratic player, and she is not at her best right now.

The matches start early so I might just watch the tennis. The Czechs have the FedCup final next week, at home. They will be facing Russians with Sharapova. This is a big deal for them, so they might just pack it in and go home.

Correction: the FedCup final is the week after next, so the Czechs do not have to hurry.

Awesome 1st match, awesome last set. Good call MGT. Safarova is already eliminated, from doubles also. But she might play loose and try to help her buddy Kvitova by defeating Kerber.

Muguruza looks unstoppable, but everything can change. She is also playing doubles and she might run out of gas at some point.

Thank you for the words. The main idea on the articles, as was mentioned some posts ago, is not to give just a pick but a trend of the match. In this last game analysis for example was mention that Muguruza might struggle mentally because she only needed one set, according to that was a good move to lay Garbine after winning that first set.

Hmm, interesting that the books are expecting a closer match between Agga and Mugu. Kvitova was not even supposed to be in the semis so she will be playing with nothing to lose. She also showed plenty of determination this week, and Petra and Masha will be deciding the fate of FedCup in a few days, so I doubt Petra will fold. I am leaning over. Petra's serve might be not very consistent this week, but she also put a lot of pressure on Mugu's serve today and Mugu has been serving lights out. I would probably prefer Sharapova gameline over, but I have no access to that one. I think at least one set should go to a 7-6 or 7-5 score.

In the first match, I do not understand why Mugu is only -2.5 games fav over Agga. Perhaps, the linemakers see something I do not. Agga usually cannot handle big-power hitters. GL folks.

This might be the biggest match that of Agga's career. I doubt she will see any more Slam finals, so this is her big chance. But she is not that great under the pressure, and her tie-break record is pathetic. She tried to lose it in the 2nd to Mugu, but Mugu was just too tired to take it. Yeah, Kvitova has been hit and miss but I think she is relatively fresh and she will be playing with nothing to lose. Should be a fun match. Over might be a good bet indeed, the first set should be tight too.
