Ha- Genie Blonde Tart.
Maaan, my heart wants to take her as a dog today, but my brain is saying "ehh, I don't know". At some point, she HAS to win again, right?? I really see no way to cap this, other than flipping a coin on which Genie Tart shows up.

Believe me I am torn on this also.. want to bet her today ..
but holding off..
she may win, but there is definite risk. Fired her 6-mo. coach,
has temporary one but it's up in the air..
plus she was flaky in Toronto getting blown out in 2 of her 3 sets..
and Bondarenko is a steady player on the upswing with no mental problems,
plus it was a long time ago but she's beaten Genie before.
Add on this that Genie had adbdominal pains just 2 weeks ago
and the bet has substantial risk.

fading her again tomorrow. she only won as her opponent made too many enforced errors, some good signs though but i cant expect her to play consistently under pressure.

Yes, there is no way that she can defeat Svitolina by being so erratic. And she is far from those days where she could use fast surface to overpower constant players who lack pace. So round 2 should be the end for her.

Apparently, Jimmy Connors is now coaching Genie.
Not sure how I feel about this. He coached Andy Roddick for almost 2 years, then Pova for one match... I really hope he can get something out of her.

my father was a Wilson rep for awhile in the 80's
he said that, not only was Connors the biggest, most-conceited asshole he'd ever met as far as pros go, but he's at the top of that same list as far as anyone he ever had to deal with. Just a pure shit-stain of a human.
