The real Serena played last night it wasn't that she bet Cibulkova so badly but it was the type of shots she used to do it - Been waiting all tourney and just like pova they are both raising their game to meet their nemesis in the final.

Keys is a different player than Cibulkova.
Keys is not as powerful as Serena, but she'll compete more in that aspect.
With her injury though, I can't see her winning.
I'll wait closer to the match to see if there's more news about Keys injury and how she's feeling.

Serena also went 3 sets the 2 matches before against Svitolina and Muguruza
If Serena is on mentally, it'll be over quick. But Keys can cause some problems if the injury doesn't affect her.
The under is not a guarantee in my opinion, but with those odds, might pull the trigger on it too
Never said it was a guarantee crazy thing with betting something could have a 90% chance of winning and still lose. See the thing I'm seeing with both her and Sharapova they are getting sharper as the tournament goes on - I feel she'll be ready tonight.
If she plays well tonight I'll want her in the finals on Saturday.

the only question is what will the Pova vs. Serena line be.
Line I get is -150 not much value in that to me could have taken her at +285 but she wasn't playing to the level I felt necessary in order for me to make a futures bet. I don't have the options you do such as quarters and such.

on a realistic note, keys is gonna get only what serena gives her. I can't bet anything with a clear mind other than serena ML as a parlay filler. too unpredictable with women and spreads
Saw a Tweet that says she thinks it feels a little better than yesterday. Still, I wouldn't touch this match with a ten foot pole. In-play really the only way after you see how both are doing. Serena with the illness and Keys with the leg.

a few minutes ago, i i put a unit on keys to win 7...at a "full match for action" book...that way it includes injury/illness/"face covering" insurance...
might provide a nice cheap consolatory hedge for potentially-broken serena parlays

Keys will be the best player in the world
keys, bouchard, garcia, muguruza...will eventually be contesting most of the slams

with her hell-for-leather "ace/winner or UE" demonstration (agree with bison on that point, but it ain't necessarily boring...she turned that 7th...then the 8th game into a memorable character "statement" by fending off SO MANY mp's)

Well, I'm definitely relieved to get through that match and I'm sure Serena is too with how much she was screaming after every point. Keys could have easily won that first set and then we have a completely different match. I will surely never bet against Keys on a hardcourt again until her odds are adjusted. That's gotta be a future #1 player.
One tournament does not a player make gents. Keys is a solid talent, but she's not shown consistency yet in her career. Let her prove that first before we anoint her the 2nd coming and all. Very good showing these two weeks and hopefully Davenport is part of the reason she was able to harness her skills to their fullest this week. If that is the case, then Keys should find that consistency soon.
