    Jarmere Jenkins

Anyone watched this guy playing good? I seen him twice or 3 times, he was mediocre. Yesterday I saw he was @1.33 against Cecchinato, a clay guy but still thought Jenkins should not be that juiced.

Puetz is a bit like Kamke, not a very very solid guy but like him as a dog here. I would def back German work ethic than an American here. So my question in the first sentence, did anyone seen this guy played one good match?

i'm taking him. have i watched him play ? yes
i watched him play last year. he's spent time in Australia..
i faded him on Oct 30th vs Kokkinakis.. and he won. How does he play ?
well inconsistency was his main problem and emotional. He seems to have
overcome these issues and is winning. There was someone on the chat
(did you chat on chatango during matches ? that seems to have gone away now
that fromhot/sportlemon is not available .. i am using plenty of other streams but none
have chat. anyway this person said they knew him and to watch out because he's going to do
a lot better.. i was like, yeah, right, but look, it's happening..
he has power is a hard hitter.

Jamere Jenkins is an athletic freak..if his game is on he is real tough to beat. I used to teach tennis with his brother. As said by snowball up there though he is pretty emotional. He tailspins pretty fast if is game is not on

good interview with the tennis nerds.
there could be decent $ to be made backing this cat in 2015.

Jenkins just lost to Ehrat 6-2 6-3. Most of the players have been struggling at Maui though. New balls as well as a really bouncy court. Most of the games I've seen have been ugly with no winners and just errors everywhere.

Wouldn't worry too much with this loss for Jenkins as it was a tough situation.

done with this guy.. not going to follow him anymore.
no excuse.. he played hasty and stupid. charging the net when no reason to.
and looking ridiculous. Ehrat must have been like, "what" ? I'll just hit it over there, duhh..
terrible serving, net hitting, no sense of strategy. you name it..
guy is too inconsistent and doesn't have the court savvy.
as gamblers the most important thing to us is reliability.
without that it's just a casino.

Deserves a bump. Has been the worse player on tour this year. If you think Gulbis is bad, watch Jenkins. Gulbis is hitting errors just from his forehand, while Jenkins is spraying errors on both wings. Jenkins also forgot how to serve and gets in like 30% of his 1st serves and double faults like 25% of his 2nd serves. He is also getting aced by Chung 4 times so far out of 12 points.

    Double bagel coming up possibly.

My god he is horrible. Chung just threw down 3 aces in a row on him. Chung doesnt even get 3 aces in a whole game 95% of the time. 7 aces in 16 service points now.

from what i've read about him i think he's just happy to be making some $ and seeing the world.
he doesn't have the right training or discipline to get far, knows that, and is just having a good time
while trying to win a match here and there to stay on the circuit.

no doubt if i was a kid again tennis is something I'd work at.
nobody played it that i know of then. it was looked upon as
a recreation or a preppy game. to this day few athletes in the US
    give it a serious go.

From what I've read, players on the ITF circuit barely break even and have to cut back on everything just to have any money. Only reason youngsters do it is because of the hope of making it onto the ATP/WTA tour. Heaps of veterans retire early if they find themselves stuck on the ITF tour with Benneteau and Burquier being the latest 2 to retire early after talking about the difficulties of surviving on the ITF tour. With the prize pool being only $15k, unless you are winning tournaments consistently, no way can you play more than a handful of tournaments in a row without going below breakeven.

Can't see Jenkins being satisfied with what's going on at the moment especially after he said he hoped to kick on from his good end of season form last year. His frustration and racket smashing like the video I posted above pretty much shows he ain't happy just to be on the tour and losing all the time.

Ouanna and Obry at just 24 yrs old just called it quits for the above reason. Both just can't crack it on tour and stuck on the ITF tour which is just too hard to make any $$$ from.

As nice as touring the world and playing tennis sounds, realistically it's not as easy and fun as it sounds. Unless you are in the top 100 and winning tournaments regularly, you are going to struggle financially.

hate to say this but D.Brown is the perfect example of the tennis life. Play good in challis and it will get you into some main draws at majors and 250s where you stink it up and go back to challis and make your 5-8 k a tourney. pays for plane fare and hotel/food.Maybe get laid here and there as well as a bonus..

Good read if anyone is interested. Aubone, ranked about 500 breaks down his expenses while on tour. Only been a regular on tour last 2 years and is climbing the rankings but is down $40k in those two years.

Keep in mind he also plays almost 90% of the time in the US so if he did travel around the world, though expenses would soar.
