often times, the higher seeds wake the fuk up after being embarrassed in the first and dominate the rest of the game

Kerber is super pissed and looks like she doesn't give any fukks, just play solid tennis Spaniard. No double faulting and bricking into the net. damnit.

I usually have a policy about betting a team or person with 3 U's in their name.

Muguruza seemed/seems like the better player tonight. She seems more fresh, was hitting more shots, better serve, then Kerber just decides she wants to play all the sudden too.

Kerber is hitting deeper and with way more authority now, so much for that fatigue theory, hopefully in pans out in the 3rd set.

i actually counted it on my fingers yesterday because i had Kerber and saw she was going off at low odds.
15 hours between matches. held off prematch but didn't hesitate to take her live once she took the 2nd set
and was lucky enough to grab her two points before she broke Muguruza.

One doesn't even need 8 hours to recharge seems an overreaction here. Wish Id been watching to hammer Kerbie.

Now i would like to know, why/how Muguruza went from 1.93 to 2.06 in twenty minutes right before the start

it's on Pinnacle for penetrate sake, on a big market like this someone hammered several thousand of dollars on Kerber...

Majority of the guys who bet several thousands of dollars on single matches, didn't just find that money on the floor, day earlier. They earned it with their betting, so we are talking about sharps here. And what sharp bettors are interested in, is the line value and nothing else. Probably some of them thought that backing top 10 player (Kerber) at even odds, holds some value. That is why the bet was made and the odds changed 20 minutes before the match.

I picked kerber because how she has been playing lately, not the fatigue factor. People always exaggerate the fatigue factor and most of the times the fatigued athlete ends up winning the next day. We tend to forget these guys are professional athletes who do this for a living and have a whole team behind them to prepare them for the next day.

    spot on.

this thread reminds me so much of one several months ago where Matt had this theory that ALARTIC ACID (or some other damn hilharious mis-spelling) was gonna build up in Kei Nishikori's legs and turn him to a sack of sawdust...poor matt kept lookin' for the early signs of the chemical that would turn the match around...but that Jap sonofabitch kept playing like an energizer bunny to make all the fatigue theorists rip up their tickets

BTW, sneaker-head, please change you're avatar...only avatar i've ever seen that's clearly uglier than Mona "pizza face" Barthel, lol...

if it were anybody else but Matt, u'd chalk up the spelling to a typo, what with all the posting done from smart phones and such nowadays...

i'll bet you could easily search that thread by "alartic acid", certainly by "lactic acid" cuz lotsa guys chimed in with the correct word AND "nishikori" but the mis-spelled version was so much more fun...it was the only time i recall actually laughing my ass off as i read thru the thread as the match wore on and the killer-chemical wore off
