    8-19 Plays

    Interested to hear some opinions.

Feel free to agree or disagree but give some reasons.

    12:00pm Jerzy Janowicz -230 v Joao Sousa +170

Sousa is such hot garbage that I don't think even Jerzy can fack up this match.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    12:00pm Kevin Anderson -262 v Adrian Mannarino +222

Risky picks for me at noon with two mental midgets. Anderson needs to get his confidence back after choking badly against Dimitrov and getting smoked by Isner. Mannarino is decent but is a Challenger level player so I think Anderson wins in two sets.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1:30pm David Goffin -200 v Leonardo Mayer +150

Goffin is just on an epic roll right now and I'm riding that train until it derails. He has a very good serve and solid attacking groundstokes. Mayer is also playing excellent tennis but this is his first match back in the hard courts and while Goffin doesn't have a lot of hard court matches he at least has some hard court experience at 11-7. Mayer avoids the hard courts at all cost and is 1-1.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    2:45pm Robin Haase +105 v Mikhail Kukushkin -125

Haase has played like crap most of the year but at the end of the day he's a regular ATP tour player and Kukushkin feasts on Challenger events. Haase gets his shit together and wins against the higher ranked player.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    2:45pm Marcel Granollers +105 v Paul-Henri Mathieu -125

Granollers lost two tough matches on hard courts thus far (Lu and Verdasco) but his style of getting everything back frustrates the hell out of guys. Mathieu is French so enough said there. Granollers wins by slow water torture.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    4:00pm Steve Johnson -120 v Sam Querrey -103

Johnson has been playing quite well (should have beaten Raonic last week) and Querry is not.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    7:00pm John Isner -4 Games -116 v Bradley Klahn

Isner needs to win this tournament or at least get some more matches under his belt to gain some confidence before the Open. He won't be broken in this match. Klahn was so g-d damn awful against Noah Rubin and his 1st serve percentage was so bad it was laughable. Good lefty forehand and bad slice backhand. When he plays ATP events he loses in the 1R. He's getting raped and lube is optional.

Agree with Goffin, he's going to smash the dirt baller Mayer...waiting on my book to release the 2-0 sets prop

I think Querrey beats Johnson. Also no way in hell I'd be on Goffin at -200 against a superior overall player in Leo.

I'm up about 75 units since July when I started posting but certainly have had some terrible days.

Goffin line was at -170 when I posted and was one of the big movers.

Below are the hard court records for the two players the last few years and Mayer obviously only plays as little on the hard courts as possible. Mayer has also lost in the 1R the last two years at this tournament (the only times he played).

    Goffin:

    2014 11-7
    2013 23-13
    2012 15-6
    2011 9-7

    Mayer:

    2014 1-1
    2013 3-4
    2012 7-11
    2011 0-2

Goffin is now up to -240 which is too rich for my liking.

Holy chit was a scare from psycho Jerzy and mope Anderson. Note to self ... avoid those two at all cost.

Added Goffin at -211 which is not ideal as I originally had him at -170.

    Added B. Rola +4 Games -105* vs Y-H.Lu

I think Lu wins in the end but should be a hard fought match that hopefully goes 3 sets.

Good call on Johnson. Up a break late in the 1st set and he goes UE crazy and gets broken 3 times in a row to close out the first set and lose the 2nd set.

Added Andujar +150. He had a pretty good clay court season and Sijsling has just sucked the entire summer. Counting on continued suck-age by Sijsling.

Added Rosol -135. Rosol is the higher ranked player with some good results this summer. Transitioning from the clay to the hard courts won't be easy but I don't think Harrison has the quality to hang with him regardless.

Son of a bee sting I just realized I never placed my Isner -4 games -115 wager and now the damn thing is at -155. Dammit. I'm taking it anyway but not happy I f'd that up.

PS: If your betting dogs you need to take a look at the Sportsbook.ag lines. Their lines are AWFUL but on dogs you can get some really good lines.

I think Halep wins in straight sets but there isn't a whole lot of value there either ML -1100 or -1.5 sets -230 so I'm not touching it. Rybraikova has been hot garbage lately.

Harrison retires for some reason so I finally get a retirement graded wager in my favor (5Dimes).

Good luck is on my side thus far today!

I saw that he broke Querrey on the 1st game of the match and hopped hard on the live line, assuming it was gonna be a walk in the park and then he does this ..

as if I needed another reason to hate on USC ..

Added Kvitova to close my 2 team parlay with Isner -4.

Kvitova is the higher ranked player but recently lost in 3 sets to Makarova.

Both have been playing quite well and in fact I think that b/c Makarova made the SF in Washington, then the SF in Montreal (beating Kvitova in 3 sets), and then two matches in Cincy (lost to Kerber ) means that she'll be inclined to bow out of New Haven to rest up for the Open.

Kvitova on the other hand only has a few hard court matches under her belt and needs to win this and a couple more rounds to get her hard court game in order.

No worries, had a small play on Rybar, she got some game, notice her after she won D.C. last year.
