Jack Sock +125 v Tommy Robredo -145
Sock has been playing great and basically only losing to the serve bots in 3 set matches this summer hard court season. Robredo played really well in Toronto and could have beaten Dimitrov. Sock usually isn't involved in 3 set matches but I'm looking for 3 sets in this match or at least two really close sets so I like the OVER 22 1/2 games (-110).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jeremy Chardy +120 v Philipp Kohlschreiber -140
I think the French finally win a small battle against Germany in this match-up. Chardy scared the shit out of me against Tsonga as he should have won at least the first set if he didn't choke and we all saw how Tsonga finished out the tournament. Chardy is 2-0 H2H and Kohl only has the one match against Robredo on hard courts this season.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elina Svitolina -140 v Lauren Davis +120
Svitolina playing really well with plenty of hard court wins recently. Davis is nothing special.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heather Watson -270* vs Shuai Zhang
Watson just played quite well in Montreal and had two quality wins in qualifying whereas Zhang has been hot garbage losing her last 5 matches pretty much in blowout fashion. Zhang leads the H2H 2-1 but those wins were in ITF matches a few years ago. Zhang also has a losing record on hard courts this year (9-12) and Watson is a quality 16-9.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ivo Karlovic -230* vs Benjamin Becker
Two old geezers going at it but Ivo leads the H2H 6-0 and has been playing really well a/o late with only quality losses. I've won recently with Becker but I think he is in trouble in this one.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marcel Granollers +170 v Fernando Verdasco -200
Granollers leads the H2H 2-0. Ricky is the more experienced/accomplished player on hard courts but this will be his first tourney since this hard court season. Going with the dog (small) and the OVER 22 games (-116).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Madison Keys -115* vs Alize Cornet
Expecting Keys to keep knocking more rust off and getting back to top form and Cornet is French and has no serve.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Teymuraz Gabashvili +100* vs Jerzy Janowicz
Don't really like either player very much (though Gabahvilli keeps taking my money) but this is just a fade on Jerzy. Since a 5 set loss to Robredo at Wimbledon he's lost 5 of 6 matches and none have been very competitive.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chase Buchanan +210* vs Joao Sousa
Sousa isn't very good on hard courts (4-7) and has lost 4 matches in a row. Buchanan is 17-12 on hard courts with some decent wins lately (Llodara & Smyczek) and this is his hometown crowd. Looking for the upset and the OVER.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dominika Cibulkova -165* vs A. Pavlyuchenkova
Cibulkova is the better player, leads the H2H 2-1, and has an excellent hard court record this year (25-9) and Pavlyuchenkova is not so much (7-8). Hopefully she gets her head out of her ass after blowing her last match against Watson.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bernard Tomic -155* vs Gilles Simon
Going with the youthful headcase with the big game over the craft veteran that leads the H2H 2-1. Tomic is 8-2 in his last 10 and has been motivated and in control on the hard courts. Hopefully he doesn't allow this to go 3 sets b/c even though Simon is French, Tomic is the weaker minded player.
