Guy probably lost a parlay similar to this on the first day of Wimbledon. Always nice to hit a +1100 play though, but not sure it's worth hedging.

I hear what you're saying, but we're talking 15K here. Regardless what his unit size is, it's a big win and we all know that's a lot of money in anyone's language.
The question I have for you is would you wager 14K on Giorgi of all people?
I understand I should have hedged potentially on Giorgi however since I had already hedged some on Beck I decided not to hedge twice.

dlweaver, care to share with us your motivation for this play? It's clearly a very confident play at very high odds. Do you do this regularly early on in Grand Slams? Had much success?
I hit my +1950 parlay...Didn't think twice of hedging.
I won 1300, maybe 1300 to me means the same as 15K to him?
If A guy bets 1300 on a parlay, what do you assume his regular wager size is? I would have to guess AT LEAST 2500. So is 15K really that much to him? 7 units?
So it's not a big win. He's betting 1300 on a parlay, you think he cares about 15K? I'm sure he lost a 1300 parlay or more on the first day. I know I lost a parlay with Sloane Stephens involved in it. Came back and put down another parlay for the rest of the day and today. I assume he's done the same thing that I did.
7units on Giorgi? sure I'd probably hedge for .5 unit to win 3.5...pretty simple if you don't trust the person.
15k is substantial for any punter.
Especially any punters on this borad.
yea 15k is substantial for me. i'd say an average bet is between 500-1000 however I DO try these early on slams (first/second round) and have had relatively good success but nothing like this.

If you know what I mean. There are a heap of players in a multi like that I'd let run. But of everyone on his list, she's probably the least trustworthy. So that reflected in my opinion laying off was a foregone conclusion.

they had some weird prices today. eg. SW opponent was 67.00 after losing first game (service game by SW). Then after losing the set 6-1 she FIRMED into 13.00. weird..
