It was over 40 celcius today. That had nishikori doomed for the get go. Nishikori is the worst hot weather player in the top 50 for sure. Not sure why. Remember hewitt is used to this weather same with Rodger. Nishikori wins vs hewitt on a 20 celcius day no prob. Your pick wasn't wrong. You got fcked by the super hot weather. Chardy's forehand was on as well. We all know the frenchman is a hit or miss player and can be trouble for anyone, when he's firing. Requires some serious Djokovic/Murray/Nadal "movement" to deal with his forehand and keep rallies alive. Federer doesn't have that, not defensively equipped enough with. So chardy was able to win a set. It is true to say Chardy imploded to lose the second set though and get broken at 4-3........

I am currently contemplating the Hewitt win, as I feel he is currently closer to where he was back in 2003-2007 than Federer is and even back then, Federer would need 4 sets or 5 sets in grandslams to oust him. Hewitt's an intelligent player, so I don't feel he'll be undone by any variety and Federer no long has, no longer has the confidence and lack of doubt within side himself to play with as much flair and creaitivity as he used to, on the big moments and big points.
