ATP Shanghai Rolex Masters Underdog Picks Oct 9/10

I am going to put two units ($100) behind two underdog values tonight.

Almagro (2.7) over berdych This bet is very simple, Berdych has been quitting early a lot, and he isn't in good form, and Almagro has been in good form recently.

Haas over Del Potro, this one I am not as confident on as Almagro, but at any rate, Del Potro is looking fairly ill in this tourney, had to have doctors come and give him tablets for fever. Almagro has been in solid form recently, he certainly won't give up without a fight.

Put a unit on Lisicki at -220

    i love feedback

Hi, you're one of the people who's been most active and responding with helpful stuff to my forum posts, and I'd like to ask you because I'm a novice at it, what are, if any, some of your tips for making quality decisions in betting tennis? I'm restricted to only betting winner/loser, no set betting, so you can't include that.

Always check injury info which it appears you do.

Know the surface the players are on and if possible how its speed might play. That pertains mostly to hard courts. Some play slower. Some play real quick almost like indoor courts that can benefit those big servers.

Know a player's form, etc. Don't just look at wins & losses, check some stats if you can or read match reports to see how they actually played if you're thinking about betting on their match.

If I could ask you about today specifically, do you see ANY underdog value plays, WTA or ATP?

Also, do you have any specific links that you could copy-paste, databases where you can do you research to become a "wiseguy" tennis bettor?

TI has great stats that you can look at without paying. TG is run by a guy who used to write for TI. He's pretty well respected and generally gives some decent info/insight. Certainly don't agree with all he writes, but I enjoy reading some of his write-ups. TE is just a good general info type of site to look at now and then.
