    LOL@ trying to generate some discussion and revive this more and more deserted forum. Couple of points: the vast majority of players do not play in Davis/Fed Cup so it is actually a breather for them. Guess what would have happened if this week were not occupied by the Cup play ? Another meaningless ATP tourney or two in boondocks. Finally, Davis Cup still means a lot for most countries. If there were any good American players around, it would have become popular again in the States.

    I guess the reason for this is that he lost money on DC.

    I find it very interesting, brings totally new spice into the game.

    Also, we're the best in DC.
