I believe the books are getting too cute with this line by making Giraldo the favorite here at -130. Hardcourts are not any of these players forte but I still have to give an edge to Berlocq today. Giraldo's game does not suit this surface at all. His groundstrokes have no pace and he's got a mediocre serve. The books are banking on the fact that Berlocq hasnt played a hardcourt match in a few months but I don't think that will matter in this case. The time off can actually benefit the 30 yr old Berlocq here. Also, if you dig deeply, you'll see that Berlocq had a very nice showing at Indian Wells hardcourts earlier this year. He beat some very tough players in Nishikori, Dolgopolov, and actually beat Giraldo as well on hardcourts this year so he knows how to play on this surface. Giraldo has yet to beat a player in the top 50 on hardcourts this year (he's 0-4) and I believe the books have the wrong player favored .....I'll gladly take Berlocq at +110.
Best of Luck
