OK, since there is not much time, here we go with the thread for the bracket contest.
If Shari shows up and decides to take over - I do not see any problem with that.
Yes, I can and will count points.
Entry fee will be 50 points. You can send points to Shari if she agrees so and does this in time, if not then send them to me but no later then first match gets underway.
Pro's only contest. No offence we have only 2 weeks and thats merely 30 points form non-pros. Dont wanna risk it....also less entry fee would not be very motivating.
Prize payout -
6 or less gamers - then winner takes it all.
7-10 gamers - Top3 get paid (50% - 30% - 20%).
11+ we cut it extend it top5 (40% - 25% - 20% - 10% - 5%)
One more thing, will do this only for ATP part.
So here are rulles copy/pasted from previous contests.
1. This is a bracket contest which starts at the First Round of US Open. Entries need to be submitted to me via PM no later than at the start of the first match local time on MONDAY 11:00 AM AUGUST 26th.
2. Each person is to post in this thread or send PM to ME their winners all the way through from the First Round until the Final before the first match commences. I'll post everyone's picks at some point in the day so all of us can follow along. I suggest using one of the free bracket sites to complete your bracket and then just copying and pasting the players' names into the format I supply below. Optional has a nice link which can be used for filling up your brackets.
3. SCORING WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
First Round correct picks receive 1 point(s)
Second Round correct picks receive 2 point(s)
Third Round correct picks receive 3 point(s)
Fourth Round correct picks receive 5 point(s)
Quarterfinals correct picks receive 10 point(s)
Semifinals correct picks receive 20 point(s)
Finals correct picks receive 30 point(s)
4. In the event of a tie when grading for contest purposes, the first tiebreak will go to the person who picked the highest number of number of dog winners correctly throughout the first round based on Pinny's closing number. The second tiebreak will go to the person who picked the number of Second Round winners correctly.
*** In the event of a retirement, if one set is complete then the advancing player will count as the winner.
