I don't see Andujar beating Nishikori at all. No reason he should lose to him.

Well the under is blown in the 1st set. Rafa did not start strong, but as usual has battled back and made this 1st set long. Will need a complete meltdown in the 2nd from someone - but I don't see it.

False hope. Ferrer could have put a stranglehold on the 2nd set, but got broke.

After much deliberation I decided to hedge out my Wawrinka based parlay. Kinda wanted to let it ride but after seeing what happened between the two in Monte Carlo I felt it was the right play.

I thought Andujar had a shot, but I expected it to be competitive - hence taking the over. Getting buried today.

Break back. Andujar's flakiness may and probably will save your wager

I was watching the entire match thinking the total was 21.5

Relieved to push! But wow that should have been a winner.

No..it shouldn't have. Did you see the easy putaway that Andujar missed on break point up 4-2? Very lucky for everyone to get a push there.

I don't mind. That is one time out of about 50 in my tennis betting career where the lack of a hold on the key game worked in my favor. Usually I've got an over where some chump gets broken on that key game.

Go Murray. Took him for small change as the TI fade o' the day.

    Premature ejaculation. Quit it.

Not sweating at all. Losing a couple bucks on a throw away like this as a fade is no biggie. Expected what we've got. Even match. Both could have won the 1st set.

    My entree is Tsonga.

He's just resting before he decides to win a game and lose 6-0, 6-1.

My massive live winner. Took it when Berdych was serving up 4-3 with the game at deuce. Was just seeing if my timing was worth a shit. It was and I made enough to each off the Combo Menu instead of the Dollar Menu today. Boo ya.

Yeah. They don't do much live tennis, but I noticed that one while I was bumming around. They do a lot of live MLB and all the NBA and NHL games. I usually do one MLB in-play a night when I notice something worth running on. Pretty simple to use and they have it mobile too.

    Mini ATP Rome Preview

    Djokovic Quarter
Nothing seems too certain regarding Djokovic this week. The ankle was tweaked last week in an earlier than expected loss. The quarter is littered with tough competition, so anything less than 100% from Djokovic could mean another upset. That could come as soon as his 2nd match where he could face an in-form Wawrinka or the mercurial Dolgopolov. The bottom of the quarter is led by Berdych who had a solid week in Madrid. Cilic & Anderson are also big names in this section. Cilic crashed out last week, so it will be interesting to see if he's in better shape this week. Berdych could once again be the beneficiary this week of a higher seed losing early if he stays consistent.

    Earlier Upset Watch: Wawrinka.
While the week before at the Oeiras tournament wasn't particularly taxing, last week in Madrid with several three setters could take its toll on the Swiss this week. Berlocq is his 1st up. He's been competitive, but failing to win - could change here. Dolgopolov in the next round would also be a tough one for Wawrinka.

    Nadal-Ferrer Quarter
Nadal comes in fresh off another title and Ferrer has recaptured some form. There's a lot of floaters in this section, but much like last week - this looks like a tailor made quarter for another Nadal-Ferrer meeting in the quarters. Lots of good 1st round match-ups in this quarter. Raonic-Kohlschreiber, Tipsarevic-Troicki, Fognini-Seppi and more. Should be a fun quarter to watch from a competitive standpoint.

    Early Upset Watch: Tipsarevic.
Very little consistency as far as winning from Mr.T still. Troicki is about as inconsistent, but he could definitely be worth a shot with Tipsarevic not playing well and never doing much in Rome.

    Murray Quarter
Murray leading the bottom of the quarter and Del Potro up top. Murray showed better last week in Madrid, but is another who has not really looked comfortable in Rome. His draw though is manageable with Nishikori as the biggest threat. Del Potro is back on court for the first time in nearly a month after fighting through a virus. He'll have a tough road to get to the quarters with Monaco or Almagro likely in his way. Expecting a rebound from Almagro this week and I think he could be a semifinalist here if Del Potro can't get off to a good start.

    Early Upset Watch: Nishikori.
He's in a similar position to last week where he'll face a homestanding opponent early. Nishikori had the big upset against Federer, but flopped against Andujar. Lorenzi has plenty of upset potential in the opener.

    Federer Quarter
This seems like the time we may figure out where Federer's game is really at. With Roland Garros around the bend, Federer should be looking to build some serious momentum after his fail in Madrid. Not an easy draw with Haas or Simon possible due up in the 3rd round. Tsonga leads a loaded top half of the quarter with Dimitrov and Gasquet also here. Tsonga would face one of them in the 3rd round. Gasquet has thrived in Rome the last two trips and I think he could be in line for another quarterfinal trip. If Federer truly is lacking motivation/form - Gasquet could be the one who benefits and takes the semifinal spot.

Early Upset Watch: Simon. Simon gets Volandri first-up. Volandri is always difficult to predict, but he plays some of his best tennis inside Italy and is worth looking at in this position. Simon looks like your typical boom or bust this week. If he survives here, he could make a little noise.

    Futures
    Nadal -110

Nadal or Djokovic has won this tournament each of the past eight years with Nadal winning six times. His price is starting to get shorter each tournament, showing the belief the books have in him now. I think at this point, you take Rafa and know you'll be able to hedge wherever you want - if it's needed. The way he is rolling, it probably will not.
