The way Federer is playing, Nadal would beat him on concrete, grass, sand, water, hard, carpet, anything.

I have a very unscientific theory on those courts. Larry Ellison and Rafa are supposedly good friends. I know that he openly roots for Rafa in matches. His money is behind the redesign of this whole facility. I think that he may have had a friend in mind when he had these courts resurfaced.

This is the company that does the surfacing for a lot of courts, including Indian Wells. They've used the same surface for something like 15 years. Have been some subtle changes over the past few years that have made it a little slower for sure.

They've done it all already. Nadal won on water of course because it's like a slower version of clay

Tennis channel guys blow in general, and each other in particular.

They have no idea of the meaning of an "upset" either. They've probably never heard of market odds...

In the evening this effect is diminished because it's colder so the ball travels slower/bounces less.

I'm not sure what all the history is about the resurfacing but there was an interview last year where Fed says IW favours Nadal.

I got it from this. This source doesn't cite sources itself haha.

More stuff but I've heard the category ratings can be flawed.
