    G simon v K anderson

considering G simon just scraped thru the match with paire, in 3 sets.. where as anderson who got thru his match with Nieminen in straight sets. so in my perspective if youre going to have a play on this match anderson looks good.

That logic is extremely faulty. I'm not saying Anderson can't win, but simply just because someone dropped a set and his opponent didn't in a previous match seems like a quick way to lose your money if that's your only edge.

no, im saying anderson had a difficult opponent where he won in straight sets, and simon was lucky that he even won the second to scrape thru to win the 3rd. since simon had a difficult time against paire, i think he will have an even more difficult time versing anderson.

Lol I know exactly what you're saying but that logic doesn't hold true in most cases.

I have never seen Simon but Anderson lives his best days in Indian Wells 2013 so he can do anything if he worked hard !!! for me , Iam not on this play at all ... just wanna Nadal odds go up so that I pick him LOL

Simon seemingly struggles through every match. His return game and long rallies could give Anderson some trouble if Simon can control the pace.

I'm on Anderson. He should be able to take this.

Too much power from Anderson. If he keeps the ball on the court, he wins.

Simon thrives on power, doesn't he?

Well, I was on him against Tsonga the other week, as I respect Simon and use him as a dog where it seems to make sense. It was one of the better matches I've seen Tsonga play. From start to finish, his head was in it, and Simon never had a chance. Simon wasn't thriving on Tsonga's power that day, he was succumbing to it. If Anderson plays near the level he played against Nieminen, he'll beat Simon. I see the match being in Anderson's hands. If he serves and hits ground strokes as he has been, no chance. If he makes errors and can't get his big serve in, then Simon has an opening to do his thing, and might take advantage of it. He's a smart guy, and doesn't beat himself. Why I like him. But 240 is a fair price for Anderson, in my opinion.

Simon generally doesn't have the power or the shots to take out better players but I'm not convinced Anderson is better than Simon. This line is as big as it is given Anderson's current form. I think Simon has a good chance here if Anderson's serve is a little bit off. There's tons of value at +200ish so I'm leaning toward Simon but I also wouldn't be surprised to see Simon get rolled if Anderson is playing close to perfect.

People forget Simon - Del Potro game.

That day there were 4 matches in Marseille

    Tursunov - Muller

    Tomic - Tsonga

    Berdych - Janowicz

    Simon - Del Potro

Tournament was Marseille indoor and one day ago in round 16 in 6/8 games had tiebreaks 75%.

I had single tb bets for 4 games and a system 3/4.

    $150 single for each game and $20 * 4 = $80 for the system.

Last match was Simon - Del Potro and I had all three games with tbs. So I won app. $450 since that game and if we saw a tb in the last match too the total would be $1600. That was all with mediocre to low stakes so thats pretty good.

Simon played godlike that day and broke Del Potro to love when he was serving at 4-5 in first set. And another early break in 2nd set and my dreams were shattered So I got away with app $500 but not felt like a winner.

Never underestimate Simon. If he is on and Anderson is off today, he will win.

agree with this. Everyone is on kevin anderson and he could easily lose today. Anderson should not be as big of a fav. as he is here. We will see

Doesnt it apply to every match that if X is on and Y is off that X will win?

I don't even think Simon needs Anderson to be "off". I think if Simon plays his game and keeps returning the ball to Anderson, he can take the match.

Unfortunately can't watch the match until after 3:00.

Anderson looking sharp or Simon putting up a dud?

Anderson is looking sharp. Simon has gotten 4 points off Andersons serve so far.

    Double break for Simon...

When he starts hitting his spots like he is right now, he's very difficult for a one-dimensional player like Anderson.

Anderson looks awful right now. Can't seem to do anything right. Not sure if he's just giving up on the set to save up for the 3rd or whether all form is gone.

I'm not too bothered personally. You win some, you lose some.

    I like those odds!

Also, there's always the relative happiness of knowing a lot of you won. : )

I'm very curious about the aforementioned question though, if anyone watched 2:nd.
