for various odds and ends I want to mention.
Sybille Bammer yesterday was down 3-6 1-4 to Chakvetadze. She won eight straight games after that, and ended up winning 3-6 6-4 6-2.
Today, the match between Feliciano Lopez and Jurgen Melzer took 2:47:53.
Melzer won 5-7 7-6 7-6.
Total points won: Melzer 125, Lopez 124.

Story of the day has been the fight 18 year old Devin Britton put up against Roger Federer.
Britton is up 4-3 in the third set.
Britton took Federer to the tiebreaker in the third set. Remarkable.
It was 7-5 in the 3rd. Kid has some talent. Will be interesting to see where he goes. James Blake match coming up next on ESPN. Lots of peeps fading him hard today at the big price. No way in hell he should be a -1100 or whatever favorite, but as much of a doof as he's played like - I still think at his favorite tourney, he'll get through today. I'll wait to fade him in a better spot. Will be interesting to watch. I haven't seen him play since I don't know when. Want to see if there are injury concerns or not.
By the way, Haas is on the verge of digging himself a 2-1 hole to Falla.
Haas wins the tiebreaker and goes on to win in four sets.

Seppi breaks back to put it at 2-2 in the 2nd. That puts his consecutive games streak up to 2.

So after the 6-0, the second set appears destined for a tiebreaker.
LdB with a big comeback in the second set, winning 7-5 to force a third and deciding set.
Seppi gets broken and drops the second set as well.
Meanwhile, LdB completes her comeback and wins.
Tursunov and Gicquel are tied at a set apiece.

Fishy Russian tennis - yay! Guess I shouldn't have put Andreev in my parlay today. Smells funny when Witten was up 5-1 and then Andreev battles back to 5-4 and then gets beat in a love game to lose the set 6-4. Broken right away in the 2nd too. Long match to go still, but not liking it.
Andreev's chances of winning are 15%, in my estimation.

Anyone get to see any of this Monfils-Chardy match? Just curious if Monfils looks good or if Chardy just sucks ass. I'm assuming set 1, Chardy looked like ass losing 6-1. Damn disappointing to me. Thought he would at least push Monfils and win a set, maybe two. Instead, he's gonna get tossed in straights.
