its a fix cause he knows if he doesnt complete the match the bets are void..so i dont know if he had money on himself or what, quite possible cause he was 2-0 h2h vs dolgopolov.. but at many books if you bet dolgopolov you get zilch cause the match wasnt completed.

How long ago did these "retire" rules comes into effect? Was it around the time when that Russian player was implicated for fixing matches? I forget his name but remember it was well publicized...

its liek walking off the court in the nba just cause you are getting blown out, you cant pull that shit in pro sports..he took a MTO and the trainer was like you are fine , and he said yea im fine then he came back on the court jumping around running, even hitting winners for 5 mins, then he sees the match is a def loss so he runs into the tunnel without saying a word, not even to the bench!

i was thinking the same thing when i saw it. I am lucky because Heritage goes after 1st set. I got him at -180 and right at first serve it went to -205 so I figured something was up

yea maybe you are right, all of a sudden when he was about to lose the match he got some mysterious illness that lasted 3 mins...makes sense...i've seen thousands of tennis matches and there was nothing wrong with him..it wasnt even a good acting job...it was a joke.

well ... it makes more sense than saying that he fixed the match ... would you have said anything if you had him to win and, after his retirement, instead of a lost parlay you would have had canceled only this match?

you are missing the point entirely, you cant bet tennis in good faith if they decide they will just walk off the court as they please just because they have no hope of winning the match..obviously you didnt see the match so you have no clue what im irate about, its not the bullshit few hundred really its the slick corrupt scam he pulled.

if it wasnt for betting 80% of these petty tourneys wouldnt even exist cause no one would care..and if you see it as no big deal that is your right..but after watching this clown do what he did, i would tread lightly in his future matches, he is a shady customer.

Baghdatis did the same thing to me at the Aussie Open two years ago. He only had to stand there for two more games to finish off the match for my big play to hit yet he suddenly declared that he had a problem with his pinkie and quit. Not sure I'd call that one or this one a fix though. More like very poor sportsmanship. Still sucks either way.

If you are worried about honesty in tennis matches, I recommend skipping all matches involving Alexandr Dolgopolov.

Pinnacle and betfair are first set. None of the rest will allow decent sized stakes.

Nothing suspicious in the markets either.

    Newbie question about tennis betting

I have a question about a tennis bet I placed. I have a bet on "Kamke under 19 points". My question is does 5Dimes count a tiebreaker as a game in terms of points? I couldn't find it on 5Dimes website. Kamke lost the first set and only won 3 games, so only has 3 points. Mathematically if tiebreakers don't count, Kamke could win the next two sets 7 to 6 and win both tiebreakers and still only have a total of 17 points. So does 5Dimes count a tiebreaker as a point?

A Tie break is 1 point towards the total. The tie break set will be scored 7-6.

He had a nasty wrist injury in early 2010, and he's not that young.

The fixing episode was in 07 iirc, Sopot vs Vassallo Arguello. Since then people overreact to anything in his matches :-)
