    Austrailian Open Futures

    Might be too early for this, but my book has listed some futures and I thought we could have a little discussion with Day 1 being a few weeks away. I think Ferrer at +2750 is too good of value to pass up. The guy won't get taken out in the first 3 or 4 rounds and is an easy hedge after that..Tipsy at +4000 seems nice too as he could make a deep run if healthy. Anyone else see value in this list??

    The hype surrounding him is ridiculous. He caught fire for one tournament and suddenly punters are going crazy. Even for trade stuff, 40/1 is not value, he had one good tournament.

    Most of the value in these futures lay in the hedges my friend. If Ferrer can reach the quarter or semi finals and you have $2700 to play with (Assuming you throw $100 on him at 27:1) you can easily just fade him and bet his opponent.
