There's not a question as to whether or not I should, but how much. I'm thinking of putting a 2 spot on Simon to net me around 400.00 (including the 100 from the lost parlay, if Fish indeed does lose to him). Both players have looked pretty fukkin bad so far - Fish having to come back from 2 sets down to beat Davydenko, and Simon getting taken to 5 sets by Russell and then dropping a set to Wang. What do you all think? This could be the ultimate jinx for Kirilenko, as she hasn't cashed yet, but I don't really believe in those, and she's playing Hlavackova.

Agree with your assessment. No need to show you have more testosterone than someone else. I've always said you are an idiot if you don't hedge something if you're down to one leg on a parlay. If you're trying to make money smartly and not just hoping to hit it big somewhere, it's proper to hedge. I think your amount if whatever you feel comfortable with. I think Fish wins it in 4 unless he is just empty from the comeback, but with proper rest I don't think he will be. Simon still dealing with a shoulder issue and honestly if Wang had shown more bravery/ability to hold after breaks - he would have pushed Simon to 5 and maybe would have beaten him.

I do empathize. Whenever I count my chickens with a bet that looks like it'll win, bullshit like that happens. I had Maria on a parlay and assumed she was in good shape after winning the first set myself.

Women players seem to routinely miss the put aways. Even the men. Berdych choked his final away against Isner last week that way. It's really quite frustrating when you have money on them.
