i also think Kerber could be a sleeper.
Pironkova, yes but to win the gold ? i dunno about that.
in Mens doubles I am going to back both British teams.
Fleming-Hutchins and Murray-Murray.
I may also back Andy Murray for gold.
Snow, my object with these is to find value and hedge later on in the QF or semis..I never expect them to win the gold.Would be great if they did for sure, but trying to find an edge!
beef it's often risky to think you will be able to hedge,
because if they move up they could very well be facing one
of the top names, at which point, the top name is a big favorite
and laying large juice. and they will have to get through more than
one big name to win finals. so, there's not always a hedging opp.
Correct, but I am such a small bettor, I usually put 1-2 dollars on these big ones to make it fun.And i take the chance of upsets to cut down on the amount of hedging that may be required.I also will bet parlays on the favs vs my picks that are left to make a small profit. If one of the parlays lose, then I am not risking that much as a huge fave, and if the hedge on a hedge becomes too much then so be it, I let it ride. Not the smartest bankroll man of course I admit, but for 1-2 dollar futures..what the hell..
I'd lay some on Federer on the men's side. His draw is the easiest by far of the top seeds. Good investment wise for a bigger bet because you will get those plus money hedge opps the entire way through the tournament. Of course the best of 3 adds a little intrigue vs. the best of 5 where I think Federer would really roll thru this draw.
