I would do some more line shopping if you going to bet Serena and Venus... Currently listed as a slight dog to win (+114) at pinnacle...

I was gonna say, I dont know much about Tsonga in doubles overall. But these 2 could be lethal if they are playing well, two of the best volleyers out there. Plus you got completely different looks on the serves, and obviously both can hit bombs on serve

Of course draws will make a difference in what you want to play, but my two cents for better options than the Bryans who have not faired well @ the Olympics. In fact, I don't see the Bryans as a good play at short odds at all. Rather take the defending Gold medalists - Federer/Wawrinka, but not sure about them either as their teaming this past year has not been great in the few times they have played.

    Tipsarevic-Zimonjic
Zimonjic is one of the best doubles players out there regardless of who he teams with. These two teamed up @ Queens Club in prep for the Olympics and made the semis, losing in a super breaker to the Bryans. Tipsarevic's serve helps in a major way to keep this team competitive. If you look @ Tipsy's doubles record in 2012, he has teamed up with some of the best doubles guys out there. I think there is a reason they like to team with him and I wouldn't sleep on this team.

    Berdych-Stepanek
Stepanek has started playing more doubles this year and his teaming with Paes has paid some dividends. Berdych & Stepanek have teamed together fairly regularly for Davis Cup ties so they have plenty of experience. At 10:1, depending on their draw they should have an opportunity to move through the draw and it is a pretty good surface for both.

Llodra was part of a formidable team with the Serb Zimonjic. They were one of the top teams this year before separating in anticipation of this event. Little surprised by the French teams. Benneteau is a better doubles player, teaming him with Llodra I think would have made a solid duo. There might be some friction between those two - they teamed in the past ... or perhaps the French thought splitting their two best doubles players gave them two better shots? I don't think Gasquet or Tsonga are very adept at doubles.

Melzer-Peya is an interesting team. I'd be careful with the "megadogs" ... I don't really see any of the teams 50:1 and over that present anything that makes them more than dartboard shots. Do your homework on these guys and look @ guys who have played some Davis Cup together - could make a big difference to have that experience playing together.

No I think it's because Benneteau might not have been there but he got into singles because Monfils withdrew

Still, they could have reconfigured their doubles teams and that team makes a lot more sense. I think the Djokovic-Troicki team is way over priced. They might win a few, but Djokovic is not a skilled doubles player over his career. I'd take Isner-Roddick before I took the Serbs.
