Much like the SI jinx, along the lines of Karma, Voodoo, Santeria...Whatever gets me an edge in Tennis I will do.If I have to sacrifice my dog, cat, fish or take a dump and then throw salt over my left shoulder..I will.
Anyway, I have noticed that the Challenger page of the ATP Website every week highlights 2 players and trying to promote them on how well they are doing as of late.In the past I have noticed in following said players is sometimes they tank matches and play like Ass right after being featured. For example this week they showed Janowicz who continued to dominate this week and below showed Dancevic, who immediately tanked in the Granby challenger to a +300 dog.Maybe these players see their names up in lights,if not for this people might never follow them.Maybe their coaches/trainers,parents see it and tell them.My point is maybe we should use this to fade them as its only human nature for the players once they know about this is too play a little better or worse. Not saying that this is a be all end all for capping(very small %), but to pay attention to it might be worth it.Maybe track their first matches played after there name goes up in lights and for shits see how they do.
For Week 1...Janowicz..Won first few matches and kept on rolling...
Dancevic..Won first match, lost second match to +300 Bester..
