Chan +205 over Jankovic
JJ walked on water last night. She saved 19 out of 24 break points en route to her 3 set win over Czink. She plays Yung-Jan Chan today, who has looked superb thus far - winning points with her second serve and being able to sustain herself in longer rallies. Jankovic is the more talented player, but given recent form & level of confidence, I'm taking Chan @ +205 for a unit.

Good luck t-var. Can't say I like either side here. Wouldn't ever been comfortable laying chalk on Jellohead and this Chinese broad doesn't have much of a resume.
Thx. I think the 3 dogs today following the U-Rad/Cib match have an excellent chance of winning. Chan and Lepchenko, in particular.
Tevari have you been able to watch the matches? I haven't found Carlsbad televised all week.
IIRC, a certain site that i'll link to you has the 3rd match of the day and on. (today should be lepchenko/petrova & mchale/bartoli). JJ saving more break points, what's new. Chan 2-0, btw.

Goddamn, I've been on the YJ Chan train for the past ten days...left out one book that I would played her on and just remembered only to see the match has started with her up 3-2
I am on this as well Tevari. I backed Chan against Watson and she really played well. Jankovic's match was also late into the night and a ton of points were played.
Looks good so far but we will need to see if Jancovic brings that Rocky-esque mentality to the key points.

with the way it's gone...anything is possible - but i find that wta players get ESPECIALLY down on themselves when they blow serving for the set. Jankovic probably 7-5. Chan had her chances, we'll see...

she does fight. noticed it while watching her match with watson - 15-40 down, 5-2 down in the tie break...she never really was too concerned with the score she just kept on playing. if she drops the first set though it'll be interesting to see how she responds.

Tough to see her coming back now TBH. It's a sport decided by 5 second moments and/or decisions. Chan was up 5-4 and serving 30-30. She wins two straight points and the outcome looks great. Unfortunately for us, she lost both and proceeded to drop the set, and most likely the match.

One break means jack shit...sure it's nice to see her still competing, but I wouldn't feel comfortable even if she raced out to a 4-0 lead in this set.

Something weird is happening - but without a stream I can't tell what it is - JJ was up 30-0 then loses the game....the 3-2 changeover is taking forever and live odds were stripped off b365. maybe a JJ injury? not to be mean, but that would be sweet if she retired and my ticket cashed

That would be okay with me. The amount of time I've lost because my guy/girl retires. Would be nice to get one back.
Think she is okay. Betfair live betting market has Jankovic as a 3-1 fav still, so if something was up with her I think the line would be a bit different.
If she can get this second set (which I doubt), this match will lean in Chan's favor, IMO.
