    Tsonga and Verdasco thoughts?

Which player plays better on clay?

points for a good write up

I know Tsonga is the better player in terms of rankings and overall success, but with so few clay tournaments didn't know if Verdasco was the better clay player or not.

Verdasco is very good on clay, probably a little better then Tsonga is on it. Shouldn"t matter though Verdasco is 2 big of a headcase Tsonga wins in 2 imo.

Verdasco is the better player on clay by far. I personally think he has better than the given +180 odds at my book. worth a small shot I think.

I wouldn't say Verdasco is better by far. Coming into this tourney he hasn't been playing well. He had been bounced in the 2nd round in 2 of the last 3 clay court tournaments. When you bring in the hard courts it's been even worse. He did play well in Acapulco tho (clay). However, he shouldnt be getting bounced by guys like Andreev. Especially on clay. Both of his 2 matches here so far have 3 sets vs Rochus and Dodig. I would lean Tsonga here but it wouldn't exactly be a big surprise for Verdasco to win.

Verdasco is by far better on clay but has been horribly out of form and also has a knee issue. Tsonga hasn't actually been flying either. All things equal Verdasco should win, but they are far from equal as I outlined so one to take a watching brief in my book.

Completely agree with gators, Verdasco is better than Tsonga on Clay.
