I was able to watch both matches.

Ferrero played good against Youzhny, but he missed a lot of break points. He was 1/14 on bp's, the last one coming on a youzhny double fault. But really, Youzhny is a warrior. A lot of the articles are making a lot about Mosquito not being able to convert bp's but Youzhny was hitting winners when he was down.

Verdasco was very erratic in his match against a very bad asian player. I never know what to make of Verdasco though.

Verdasco is one of my favorite players on tour obviously after Federer and Gasquet lol. But I am leaning Ferrero here. He's just too consistent from the baseline right now for Verdasco to handle.

Or......does Verdasco suprirse us with one of his streaks where he's able to compete with any player in the world when he starts minimizing errors. You never know with this guy. He has such great power. Really, his potential is endless.

With Ferrero you usually know what you're going to get.....unless he's playing Melzer in the US Open and just FLOPS!
