WTA is always a break fest unless Serena is involved in a match. Otherwise, the number of girls who hold their serve routinely without having to fight in every service game is pretty low. There's a couple other girls with good serves, but consistency is always a question. Stosur, Venus, Kvitova,Sharapova .... This is why Slams are wide open on the side OPPOSITE Serena. Girls like Jankovic, Zvonareva and even Wozniacki - although not lately - are able to compete because yeah, they blow ass serving, but their defense allows them to break right back the next game.

That's Sharapova's game though. She doesn't do long rallies. Only good thing about WTA is you can get some decent darkhorse futures prices for the US Open. Everyone and their dog is gonna be on Serena. If you can pick on the other side of the draw, chances to get a good price and even on Serena's side ... if you can find one of the better players with a weak draw ... Serena's fitness may still be a concern over the run of a Grand Slam, so she's definitely not a lock.
