    Moneybookers Change-of-Address Question

This question was asked, but not answered, on another forum. As I myself am curious about the answer, I will ask it here:

    -----------------------

Let's assume that you have already opened up a Moneybookers account, verified/certified that account (using identification documents, CC verification, banc wire verification, etc.), and have used the Moneybookers account regularly for a couple of years transferring funds to/from the sportsbooks.

Now, you move to a new location, and want to change your Moneybookers address to your new address.

Does Moneybookers make you "reverify" your account for this new address, using identification documents, CCs, bank wires/documents, utility bills, etc. that are associated with your new address ?

Or do they simply allow you to change your address, without having to jump through all of these hoops again ?

I would expect that you'd need to provide evidence supporting your new address.
But surely the best people to ask this question is Moneybookers themselves?

    Not necessarily.

    1. I'm currently in the States, and the last time I tried to access my Moneybookers account from the States, they locked it for 4 weeks until I got back to Canada.

    2. They take forever to respond to messages/e-mails (or at least they used to). They really need to addd a "Live Chat" feature ... I think they're large enough now that they could justify adding Live Chat.

can't see them ever installing Live Chat .. few reputable operations use it

try phone or fax if you can't get email response

but if your new address is in the US you are screwed for using MB to deal with bookies

i've moved like 4 or 5 times while holding my current MB-account. I was never once asked for any kind of proof.

It was all within the same country, I'm sure it's different when switching countries.

I have changed my postal address before and didn't have to provide any proof of the new address or put thru any other hassles.

if you call them from canada remember the five hour time difference from the eastern zone , if halifax is from nova scotia then it would be only 4 , but you need to call them early

actually they haven't changed the clocks in europe yet , so it only a 4 diff from ontario and 3 atlantic
