    Help Choosing a Sportsbook

    Hello all,

I'm an amateur, somewhat experienced player looking to find the right sportsbook. I usually don't wager more than $300 a game. I've used Bodog more than any other book, and while I do like them and I had a good experience getting my payout, they don't seem to offer a great variety of wagers, such as team totals. It also seems they take forever to put their lines up compared to other books. I recently used BetUs, and while I liked their customer service and the variety of wagers they offer, I've heard stories about trouble getting payouts from them, and they have a very poor rating on this site. I've looked at Pinny, but they don't offer accounts to US residents, so that's out. 5 dimes, bookmaker and the greek seem to have great ratings. What do you all think? I tried depositing money in the greek the other day, and their site told me that my bank doesn't accept gaming transactions. I've never had that problem with any other site. Thanks for any help you all can offer.

I stopped using BetUS since they went back to an old habit of robbing winning players. It is not worth it. If you win , you will be labelled as a " professional player" and your money is in jeopardy. It depends how many books you wanna use. What are your needs?

I would stay with Cris and Greek family for starters. BM, Diamond, BJ , Greek. Very solid and safe! Later maybe YW or even Legend. Create leverage, keep your bets under $500. You will be fine for a long time.

I'm good with just one or two reliable books. I noticed 5 dimes has a reduced juice bonus for new players. That seemed kind of enticing. I don't mind a book with a limit as long as it's not too low. A nice first deposit bonus would be great. Quick and easy deposits and payouts are important to me too. I noticed BM has a $300 minimum deposit for ************. I was really confused by the Greek telling me my bank did not accept gaming transactions. I've never seen that before.

What I am betting happened is the particular processor they were using happened to have their cover blown with your particular bank. No biggie, really. Use another method.

next time you're looking at 5D's odds take a look at Pinnacle, SBO and 188Bet to see how right you are
