    Matchbook is bubble gum

    Just look at website
    Volume
    Inconsistent offers
    Ver little live betting

They just do not have what it takes and they lack committent to the product.

Canadians play at Betfair especially if you like live betting on American Sports TV games which we have Plenty

liquidity looking better today at betmaker for NCAAB. they just need to put up the new lines faster.
I also like the fact that it doesn't matter whether you accept or make your own wager as far as commission goes. This way hopefully it won't be like matchbook where you need to wait till the last 10 minutes of any game to get your bets filled.

The local deli in Clifton has been serving up quality cole cuts for years and they have a loyal following, with many new customers weekly............and they have been profitable for years. However, are they bigger than SUBWAY, no, but they are still one of the best deli's not only in Clifton, but New Jersey and beyond.

By the way, all one has to do is read this forum and others to realize how many enjoyed playing at Matchbook, and the many that still do.
Being an ex-owner of over 20 subway fanchises, There is definately room for one the one of the same type of any business in the market.

Just looked at the NBA page at Matchbook and saw this:

    Testing
    March 8th
    1:00 PM Runner C at Runner D
    1:00 PM Runner E at Runner F
    1:00 PM Runner G at Runner H
Guess they are developing the web site on the LIVE SYSTEM! GULP!

Matchbook is in denial. The only reason that Matchbook was successful is that it allowed U.S. play. Why would foreigners use this stripped down version of matchbook when they have betfair and ladbrokes.

HAreeba maybe Matchbook had more pre game action than betfair on usa sports

    But not in game

Betfair blew them out of the water as far as live betting volume, not even worth comparing

Typical ESPN Game Betfair averages about $400,000 USA Dollars, the rare times Matchbook had it was like $3000

Not that it means that $400 000 is bet on that game, but yes betfair livebetting is great and matchbook livebetting is completly dead now since the americans are gone...

ok sinker that actually means they definitely are busier on 80% of American Sports no matter if it is total volume/live betting, etc

that may be so but as I don't bet live it is not what matters to me

yes, clearly Betfair is a world above everywhere else for live betting on anything but $400k matched is really small time for them

but whereas Betfair discloses its "matched bets" (not the same as hold) we have no idea what the volumes are at MB do we ?

Matchbook has been and remains very real to me thanks

80% is probably a gross under-estimation but is totally irrelevant to what I've been saying (which, come to think of it seems to apply to 80% of your posts on this book)

it may have escaped your notice but MB now has new people running it

I'll believe it is done when I see it for myself, not when I read it from someone who doesn't even think Yanks are smart enough to recognise the merit of exchanges yet now is predicting success for a (mysterious ?) new exchange!!

In the meantime I'll continue to enjoy the benefits of playing at Matchbook

Matchbook, the smaller things are also gone, making it appear to be even more of a ghost town, i.e. no futures market maker in the major sports or team season wins and no American Idol market (understandable I suppose but still they bet on it worldwide). Just seemed to get a lot quieter there.

On the positive side, they've added 3 new odds calculations on their drop down menu, Malaysian odds Hong Kong odds and Indonesian odds. Whoop-de-doo!

Naturally, they booted a huge chunk of their customer base. I don't see why this would now be an expansion into new markets. Weren't they already available in those markets? Why should this make them more attractive? Just seems that their new management is delusional. Or maybe they paid so little that they don't much care and have their own agenda aside from growing the actual business.

They will be attacking the ASIAN market........it is growing leaps and bounds with sportsbettors.

3k at Matchbook?? Hey baldy, I routinely had 5 figures of live betting at Matchbook. Many games were weak, but I am not complaining. I made a nice living.

The old time squares are still laying -110. Fools.

Matchbook was a very unsafe book that is why SBR wanted no part of them

WSEX was linked with same owners and they are bankrupt
