Are there any books that let you cancel a play?

Before the games starts. Just wondering as you can do this on TVG horse racing.

    Greek. From their rules:
"It is the Customers responsibility to review their wagers after each play, or before logging out to make sure all bets are correct. If the Customer has made a mistake entering a play, the play can be deleted if 1. The mistake is reported no more than 30 minutes from the time the wager was placed. 2. The wagered event has not begun. 3. A line or odds change on the event has not occurred."

Tipico, but not for every bet and only for 5 minutes. It's a good idea. If you have not seen that the line moved before placing the bet, you can cancel the bet. For me this option is disabled for whatever reason. Perhaps because I have a personal limit.

Betphoenix let me cancel a bet once, but they say they usually don't do that.

Most books WILL allow you to cancel a bet if you contact them and the line has not moved against you. I have done this two or three times in the past.

Not at Caribsports! I tried that before within 2 minutes of making the play. Against their policy and looking for a new book so i can become a SBR Pro.

I´ve asked for cancellation some times and to my surprise it has always been accepted. If I remember correcly at three different bookies so it´s definitely worth asking for in case you´ve mixed things up.

There was a mistake on my bet and I right away called and post here as proof that I wanted to cancel the bet. The sportsbook was TheGreek, if you look into my older post you will find that I said The Greek cancel a bet that was a mistake.

I have called in to try and get a bet canceled at several different books. Some never allow it. Others have said that they would do it for me as a favor this one time, even tho their rules state otherwise. The Greek's written rule does seem to be written in stone, however, as I have tried to cancel bets where the odds have changed, which is generally the case after I place a bet, and ran into a brick wall. So, it never hurts to ask. The worst that can happen is they say no.

Iffy topic. Only a book with fast moving lines can offer to cancel wagers. Otherwise people could just place a bet and watch the lines at other books. Then they could keep the bet if the line moved in their favor, and cancel it at the slow book as the line starts to move against them at faster books. Rule of thumb: if you're dumb enough to bet the wrong side, you can cancel it by eating the juice. Fair to everyone involved.

greek is the only one i have seen that will even give you the time of day in this regard, 5dimes the game could be 8 hours away and you could call in the second after you hit submit, but it won't change

tried to cancel an entertainment prop bet at sportsinteraction once within 15 minutes of making the bet. they denied. fortunately the bet won.

however, they had no problem voiding another entertainment prop bet i made claiming "after public knowledge" even though i made the bet within an hour of the prop opening.

Tried it at three different bookies in the past and none of them allowed it (pinny, nordicbet, and some other).
Pinnacle offered to "buy" the opposite line since the margin is not high and I won't lose much

Bodog would not cancel a wager. IMO the books are under no obligation to let you cancel. I like it that way
