lol why would someone at sportsforumworld know this info? matchbooks liquidity is dead anyway so pulling out of the usa officially closes them for biz imo.

Glad the source has been identified, but I have trouble believing it. MB might as well pull the site if they're cutting off the Americans.

If this is not true, it sure would be nice for Matchbook to come out and publicly squash the rumors.

According to this article, it's specifically in reference to Washington state (based on a ruling by the state Supreme Court).

Maybe because they're trying to ascertain the facts and don't want to jump into the world of rumors.

First off this is almost impossible for them to do something like this as they would have to close up if they did this. There is just to much US for them to just say no more.
Anyway i read the thread on the forum where this rumor came from and it didn't seem like any credible source in any way. Plus they would have mentioned something like this in advance as they are a reputable place and not just close to the U.S. without any notice.

You are being a tad naive about it being out of the realm of possibility for MB to leave the US market without warning. You also don't seem to be familiar with the source if you're referring to the SFW thread.

Obviously I hope you're right, but the post above shows you're not exactly up to speed on these matters.

Looks like u misunderstood me as why would they just leave, how could they make it if they did that? Meaning they would just have to close up due to all the U.S. traffic and what would they have left.
I also know anything is possible these days.

Well, Betfair is starting to invest in the US (at least from legal HORSE exchange wagering in NJ)....... maybe they would expand down the road?

If true, this would be a huge set back for US players, but don't believe evrything you see on the internet. Most likely the rumor started b/c someone misunderstood the WA situation

500 dollar limit on *************** with a 14 day waiting period? That is shit. I really wish matchbook would get their shit together because when they are running right they are the best out there for baseball.

Possibly just false assumptions based on credit players who got the heads up; either way it won't help liquidity.

Would be nice if someone here at SBR could confirm this or put it down. This kind of trash talk is not good for what's left of the market, if untrue.
