ZedBet has been open since February, 2008 and employs a staff of 10 people (should tell you something right there). They are owned by entergaming and licensed in alderney, with there call center based in Cyprus (very Russian business friendly I might add).
After browsing there website I see they are very arb friendly with some extremely nice bonus offerings. However taking into consideration of all the factors above, you have to ask yourself is the risk vs the reward. My personal opinion would be it's not.
A friend of mine still plays there and does payouts regularly - so far without any problems.
I have decided not to use them anymore because together with their good bonusses their slow moving odds seem to be too good to be true.
I don't think there's an overly Russian presence in Cyprus. I have a house there, and whilst there are some banking links, there's very little on the surface. Not sure what you heard BBD.
There's certainly a much bigger British influence.
Had lots of payouts from these guys - they are quite british centric as Santo said. Others I know have had tens of thousands in payouts without hassle. Limits are 1000 euros stake for small league stuff, with max win 2500 euros. For larger leagues the stake limit is 10k euros, max win 25k. They don't change limits at all, either they drop odds or drop the event completely.
When they opened, people were very cynical as they had really big bonuses (400 euros sports and 500 euros casino, both with small bonus requirements), and more importantly lots of arbs - the suggestion was money laundering. However, they've actually expanded their selection of bets, do low level promotional stuff to keep people intererested, and have cleaned up the linesmaking, so maybe they're in it for the long haul.

Up to know i've always been very satisfied with Zedbet customer services (i always had very quick answers to my questions-about 1 hour!). But 2 days ago i asked them informations about a withdrawal that i intended to do, and since i haven't had any answer from them, despite several mails i sent! I'm worried because i have more than 2 000 euros on my zedbet account. There's a phone number written on the site, but impossible to join them at this number. Could someone tell me his experience with Zedbet? Did someone manage to join them recently? Thanks in advance for your help and commentaries.
They seem to be getting a little behind with cs replies - on another forum a few people have not had email responses, but the first complainer did get paid. Not sure whether this is bad (imminent problems) or good (cs problems merely a result of healthy growth).
Update: at another forum someone just reported they got a withdrawal, and quick too (bank transfer sunday arrived this morning). They also replied to my email tonight in a few hours, so panic over I think.
