    The Industry

It’s seems to me that the online gambling industry is in bad shape these days. It’s been almost two years since the UIGA was passed and it’s worst now than a year ago to get money out of books. The question I always asked is how the sportsbooks and their processors have no problem processing deposits within a day or two but can’t find away to pay? I hope for football some things can improve or it will be a tuff season. I don't how much longer or why players will continue to fund books and have to wait month’s to get paid

Times are tough right now when it comes to processing issues that for sure. However, I feel people will be ok if they stick with books like 5Dimes, TheGreek, BetJamaica, Legendz, and ThePig. Because you never hardly hear any problems when it comes to the withdraw process.

1.) Write your damn congress person an e-mail asking to repeal the UIGEA. It takes 5 minutes

2.) Hope that things will improve after Barack Obama is elected President because it will only get worse if McCain wins the election. I imagine that Barack wouldn't waste our resources chasing sportsbook operators and starting new wars so then things might get better. But I'm not sure how much influence he would have on this issue. Because the UIGEA law is official, prosecutors might continue to enforce it just to justify their salaries. In other words, they have nothing else to do!

I really do feel that this law will be suspended , several gvt officials have already presented plans to what to do with online gaming taxes , estimated in $40 BILLION a year .

After the elections I am sure things will get better

Wishful thinking on your part, I'm afraid. Obama voted against every piece of gambling legislation that came up while he was in the Illinois legislature. He refused to take the pro-legalization and regulation stance that Hillary did when he was running in the Nevada primary. And rumor has it his leading candidate for Attorney General is John Edwards, a vehement anti-gambling advocate (in addition to being an a@#hole in general).

Probably marginally better on the issue than McCain, but unless you can show me evidence to the contrary, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I agree that if obama becomes president which looks likely, he will try to regulate it.

OBAMA..is the answer..he will reorganize the justice dept. to have better priorities than to harp on "THE GAMBLER"..the big picture isnt harnessing and prosecuting something that in certain jurisdictions is legal..and he has a jumpshot, fills out brackets, understands the thrill of competition..I realize there needs to be legalities and regulation, but with him I think we are on our way..And after yesterday we will all be driving hybrids to the casinos..

It is strange how you can deposit in approx 30 minutes
Then in turn it takes forever to get a payout
    Why?

it's fukkin unreal. in the past, when i'd bet with avg books, i'd call up 136 times to speak to the mgr because i couldn't get paid. .always an excuse. he's in a meeting, or he's not in.. etc.. every fukkin day.. the same song and dance. and i keep leaving messages for mgr to call me, and never does..but then when i would call back 20 min later disguising my voice and told them i want to send 10k and i want to speak to mgr first, bam.. mgr picks up phone in 2.3 seconds.

that's how offshore works boys. when you call for a withdrawal, you go through many many calls of bullsht.. and can never reach mgr.. but call for a withdrawal and they wll be fighting to talk to you..

books hate when you withdraw.. but love you to death when you have money to send them and they will talk to you and be very charming too..

fukk em.. i hate those non A rated books.. all the fukkkn same from day 1 that i started gambling..

To answer your question, the senders are the ones scrutinized. Money laundering and the funding of ilegal operations are done at the point of transfer. Merchants in all industries need to show they are legitimate. When you send 2 million to players you are going to have to say why... so you can see their challenge now that banks can't knowingly service gaming. Collecting deposits is easy. They are coming from millions of POS. Until the system can review all transactions, deposits will not be part of the problem.

When a book loses a processor they are now faced with moving a truckload of money to the new one. If things never changed for a big book, thousands of player deposits would take care of the funding of the merchant account for withdrawals. Once the processor closes, a deposit for 2 million needs to get to the new account.

The state of the industry is something that is in the back of my mind everyday. Would be nice to see into the future and see where this online gambling industry will go. I am a pessimist though so I always fear that things will get worse before they ever got better

I have no proof, just my opinion..Things need to change..I think OBAMA ..again I think..that he wants to internalize this money making industry..Vegas isnt getting smaller..Its a money maker if managed properly..We know how many have come and gone when this perpetual wave isnt run properly..The A Books are monsters..Tough to ignore..
