firstly I suggest you work out why you opened an account
if it's to actually make some bets at the lowest juice you're likely to find anywhere then make a deposit
then work out what you want to bet on and find the offers
if you see a price there you like you can click on it and enter your stake and the bet should be placed
you will be charged 1% commission on the lower of your stake and the amount you stand to win
if you don't see the price you want for your bet, click on the price and increase it to what you want and enter your stake - if someone accepts it you will be paid 0.2% of the lower of your stake and the amount you stand to win

What difference does it make why I opened an acct? It's just another option...I dont have any money in there yet.

Nah, I'm a US player. Thanks for the responses though guys. I mean, it's nothing more than a "stock market" for sports betting. Name your price and hope someone takes the play. I think I'll stick to the traditional books like Greek, Bookmaker, Bodog, 5dimes..

yeah, smart idea, go and enjoy the higher juice and stake limits at those places and leave exchanges to those who know how to make money at the game

the difference is that if you don't know why you even opened the account it would suggest you probably don't know what you're doing in this business

as in any business, having a clear plan of attack is essential to success

I've been doing this for a living for 6 years (only source of income) and been wagering on sports for 15 years. Pretty sure I know what's going on. I opened the account because I've heard it's a different way to wager and the only way to truly learn about it is to navigate through the interface and the website.

Thanks for your concern about my well-being...good looks.

okay, good to hear and good to see that between your first and last posts you did manage to work out why you opened the account

so if you are so experienced at the game why are you shunning -102 lines in favour of -110 lines?

What happens if you want to play $2,000 on a side/total but no one takes the action? Then you're shit out of luck?

I thought you can only play what has already been offered...or make your own offer and see if anyone takes it.

That's why. I'd rather have guaranteed play.

you are free to alter or cancel your offer at any time to meet the market
granted you need to have the time to monitor it but if you are doing this full time as you say then you should be able to do that
    $2000 at 5dimes? ... half your luck .. I can't get more than $25 on there

Lay -110 at Bookmaker or receive +100, sometimes better at Matchbook. Its good to have The Greek if you pounce on openers.

Laying -110 are for losers nowadays.

MB is not complicated to learn. Start with very small bets and offers until you feel comfortable with the process. Soon you'll see that MB is easy, but liquidity is hard (ly there).

This is a great idea if you want to pay 5%-10% more for your wager, just as I'm sure you enjoy going to any store and buying things for 5%-10% more than normal price.

Why all the matchbook love? I agree exchanges are better then bookmakers on large markets but matchbook seems to be run by a bunch of buffoons.

Liquidity is usually quite good on 'game days' for NFL games. I've been finding playing the M/L always works MUCH better at Matchbook whether your playing the dog or chalk. To see the value your getting at Matchbook, hop onto to sbrodds and do a comparison. It's a very nice alternative compared to the traditional sportsbook account.
