pinnacle is so big how the heck would a 1,000 bet move the line?

wouldn't they have tens of thousands on each side?

id imagine on a sunday with nfl games they probably might have hundreds of thousands on each side... maybe if ur a sharp and you bet the line as soon as its released for the max... and you're the first better... but then again does pinnacle follow line movement from other books or move itself on its own?

when their limit is $1000, it WILL move the line
when their limit is $250, that amount WILL move the line
when they are first posted limits are low and they gradually increase them as the strength of support for each side becomes clearer
when the market is mature and their limit is $10,000, $1,000 will most probably not move it.
Pinnacle may well take a lead from other books and LV before posting their opening lines but after that I think their automatic system of balancing action and raising limits takes over most of the time.

I don't think Sawyer is a rookie, far from it.

He's offering a free Christmas present to us.

I am a rookie (trying to learn though) and I'm pretty sure I got the point.

Nope, but 1.5 - 2 pts on a 1st half ncaab total on some small time game between a couple of no names isn't too bad. It would be a nice thing to know.

I don't Sawyer said it would be possible for anything big.

Guess we'll never know. Sorry if I offended you in some way.
