Who is with Pinnacle? I need some input here...

So I joined Pinnacle. I also have been a member of Bet365 and they required some form of i.d and address verification.

I am now talking to a rep from Pinnacle and want to get my info verified so that I don't have any problem with placing bets and also withdraw funds when I want. but the rep is telling me that this is not needed at all. No I.D verification is needed.

Here's is one of the responses.

    Dear Client,

We do not request ID from clients in order to allow them to withdraw their winnings.

    Play and enjoy.
********** is a good method to make quick deposits and quick withdrawing.

    Kind regards,

    Customer Service Department
    Pinnacle Sports

What's going on here? How can I.D not be needed? I thought Pinnacle was a legit place, don't all A books request id and address verification?

You wanna know why 3.65 etc need it? Because of their bonuses, their square lines that attract arbers with multiple IDs etc, and prolly something else i forget.
Pinny has no bonus, and no shit lines. So they don't care who sends them money.

O.k so this is all normal procedure than for a book that doesn't offer any bonuses?

    Can anyone else confirm this?

I remember having to give ID when I first signed up. I had to again when I forgot my password after a long break.

They cant even answer my question. I'm told I don't need id to withdraw or add funds. But I may be asked for id on demand. What does this mean, no rep seems to be able to answer a simple question.

i think i probably had to give an ID.

even if you don't need an ID, they may require you to give it later. don't play without relevant ID (eg. below 18) and proof of address.

Once your deposit clears, Pinnacle is fraud-proof. There are no bonuses. They don't kick you out for winning. They save themselves all sorts of headaches with this business model.

I was told that nothing is required since I'm not paying with a credit card. I guess this all normal. I'd assume some of the moments they might ask for id is for bigger withdraw amounts maybe.

Well seems like this is pretty normal. I guess I was under some assumptions of how things work, but I didn't have all the details on why id is asked from other books. the fact that there is no bonus makes the need for i.d less of a need from them.

They could have changed things but I don't use a credit card on the site but used ID.

Not that important. If they say your good then gamble away. If they want ID they will ask for it.

Just curious, but what is the reason that U.S players are not accepted by them but Canadians are o.k? Not that I'm complaining since it doesn't affect me, but was curious what the difference from U.S is to Canada.

If you're spending even a millisecond worrying about anything to do with Pinnacle, it's time to get out of the industry and call it a day...Forever......

Well it's nice to hear all the praise from them.

I know their lines are a hell of a lot better than bet365. I like the look of bet365 much better than Pinnacle, but their lines are just terrible in comparison. Also the fact that bet365 will limit you in the future I'd rather support someone else like Pinnacle that does not do that, or isn't nearly as bad.

I appreciate all the responses guys.

My next deposit will go to Pinnacle.

Yeah, I only had to submit an ID when I deposited money using a debit card. Other than that - it's been smooth sailing.

With the ink still drying on Bush's signature on the UIGEA, Pinnacle abruptly stopped allowing US players in January 2007. The reasons they gave were that they didn't want to get caught up in the US' "war" against online gambling. A few days after Pinnacle stopped taking US action, Canadian citizens and Neteller founders John Lefebvre and Steve Lawrence were arrested and charged with money laundering, which resulted in no more Neteller for US players. Losing both Pinnacle and Neteller in about a 7 day span was.. well, it still depresses me just thinking about it!

I have played at many, many sportsbooks in the last 15 years or so and the one that I miss most is Pinnacle. Easy deposits, easier withdrawals, great juice on everything. I really miss Pinnacle.
