I've been lurking for a while but haven't posted much prior to now, had a question and wanted to have some of the others here give me their opinion. Reading a thread below about the cash vs. free play bonus, it seems the majority of folks recommend going free play and then taking as high a risk bets as the site will allow, 2 and 3 team parlays, underdogs with good payouts, etc.
My situation is that I'm looking to put a small bankroll into a site and want to put myself in the best position possible, basically I want to put four dime's into a site and attempt to exercise some self control and money management, follow some picks from around here, and see how I do.
If I go with Bodog I'll get a 25% ecash bonus, so basically regular ole' cash after a 3x rollover.
If I go with BetOnline, they offer a 45% first time depositor bonus but in the form of 'free play' funds, but with an 8x rollover. From what the rep explained to me, whether a bet wins or loses with free play, your risk amount is lost?
Unfortunately I don't have 20 grand sitting around to set up accounts all over the place and try to arb my way to victory so my options are somewhat limited.
So am I better off going Bodog with a $1000 ecash bonus, BetOnline with a $1800 'free play' bonus, or just split the difference between them and try to occasionally play the superior lines?
